  1. Recently I had an event in which the application I was using quit without warning, and Malwarebytes (V 3.1.2 ) popped up a dialog about ransomware, asking for a reboot to delete a quarantined file. I did this, and then found that the application - NanoCAD, from NanoSoft - needed reinstalling/repairing, I think due to a missing DLL. Presumably Malwarebytes didn't like what the DLL was doing, closed the app, and quarantined the file. However, I've no reason to suppose that NanoCAD contains ransomware (althought of course it just might). My question is whether it's possible for Malwarebytes to falsely diagose ransom-like activity. What activity could trigger this? Of course I'd rather get false positives (however much a nuisance) than be suddenly held to ransom!
