What I just did was went into services.msc and on Malwarebytes Service I right clicked on it and selected RESTART. it restarted Malawarebytes and I was able to open MBAM and on the Protection tab it let me turn on Web Protection.  I am in the middle of a few things but in an hour or so I will restart my PC and see if Web protection is still enabled

After about 3 hours or so I rebooted my pc, opened Mawarebytes and Web Protection is still enabled :)

This is running Malwarebytes 3.0.6.1469 on Windows 10 64 bit system

  2. Same problem here, its a shame because I love this product and feel real secure online when its running properaly

  3. Hi,

This is what I have done.

Ran Net Conf Fix, opened MBAM and this time it let me update BUT about 3/4 through the update a message came up and said the program stopped responding and needed to close

I got a PM from Maurice but have not responded to it yet, while reading it he said there may be issues with Zone Alarm, so I completely uninstalled Zone Alarm so if I have issues with MBAM again in the future ZA will not be at fault

I went and used MBAM Clean and reinstalled MBAM and used my keys to activate the product

I went back to post # 20 and followed Maurices advice for changing the setting

So far all is well, like last time I will open it each day and see whats going on, if all is well in about 5 days I will let it set for 5 days or so and see if this issue returns

  4. These all have access in ZoneAlarm

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbam.exe

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamdor.exe

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbampt.exe

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamscheduler.exe

I went into MBAM Properties and unchecked Compatibility mode for windows 8

    Opened this with Regedit

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\appCompatFlags\Layers

    This value was not listed

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbam.exe

All the other setting you had me change are all done, rebooted and doublechecked them again and they where saved

  5. I have MBAM Pro on my Win 7 Ultimate laptop and have ZoneAlarm installed also and no problems there

I keep ZoneAlarm updated and every entry related to Malwarebytes has full permissions

You didn't say if I should have MBAM open prior to running MBAM Check, this is with the program closed, if you need me to run it again with the program open I can do that

    the database is showing v2014.08.31.02

    CheckResults.txt

  6. Thanks for the help, much appreciated, just want to make you aware that I also have MBAE on this system, also have it on a Windows 7 Ultimate laptop and MBAM runs and loads with no problems

I went a bit beyond your instructions

I deleted MBAM Clean from my desktop and downloaded the latest version from your link

I deleted MBAM Setup from my desktop and downloaded the latest version from your link

I ran MBAM Clean not twice but three times, rebooting after each run

I then went to Program Files and also Program Files (X86) and the only folder related to Malwarebytes was MBAE, so that folder for MBAM was gone

I then went into Regedit , HKLM and also HKCU and there was no entries for MBAM but there was for MBAE

Disabled Microsoft Security Essentials and shut down Zone Alarm

Installed the latest version of MBAM, entered my ID and Key and activated the product

It said a scan has not been run so I ran the threat scan after it updated it....no threats where found

It seems that if I open MBAM each day it runs fine with no problems, it just seems like I have problems if I dont open it for  few days

So this is where I stand , thanks again for your help with this

  7. Thank you, hope the dump files helped you guys

Used MBAM Clean and completely uninstalled MBAM

Downloaded the latest version , ran the threat scan ( no threats )

Entered my keycodes to activate it again

I now have MBAM (Premium) 2.0.2.1012

    v2014.08.23.03

All is looking good, I will do as i have done last time and just let it be for about a week and then see if I run into the same problem
