Same problem here, its a shame because I love this product and feel real secure online when its running properaly
What I just did was went into services.msc and on Malwarebytes Service I right clicked on it and selected RESTART. it restarted Malawarebytes and I was able to open MBAM and on the Protection tab it let me turn on Web Protection. I am in the middle of a few things but in an hour or so I will restart my PC and see if Web protection is still enabled

Uninstalled MBAE , rebooted and installed the new paid version and so far its working just fine. That was two days ago and so far everything is working, Thanks
-
Just uninstalled and reinstalled MBAE version 1.07.1.1015 and it shows its running in Task Manager and so far no pop up telling me it has not started
Thanks

Loving it. MBAM is like the add for American Express...DONT LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT. I never turn on my pc without it

Problems again this morning, same issue...Zone Alarm has been uninstalled since the 7th so now I have no Firewall protection and no Malwarebytes protection
I will be away today until maybe mid afternoon and at that point I will start a Help Desk ticket

Sure will, thanks

Hi,
This is what I have done.
Ran Net Conf Fix, opened MBAM and this time it let me update BUT about 3/4 through the update a message came up and said the program stopped responding and needed to close
I got a PM from Maurice but have not responded to it yet, while reading it he said there may be issues with Zone Alarm, so I completely uninstalled Zone Alarm so if I have issues with MBAM again in the future ZA will not be at fault
I went and used MBAM Clean and reinstalled MBAM and used my keys to activate the product
I went back to post # 20 and followed Maurices advice for changing the setting
So far all is well, like last time I will open it each day and see whats going on, if all is well in about 5 days I will let it set for 5 days or so and see if this issue returns

Done.
I think what I may do is start MBAM every day for a few days and then just leave it be for about 3 or 4 days and see if this issue comes back
I will keep you posted

I have MBAM Pro on my Win 7 Ultimate laptop and have ZoneAlarm installed also and no problems there
I keep ZoneAlarm updated and every entry related to Malwarebytes has full permissions
You didn't say if I should have MBAM open prior to running MBAM Check, this is with the program closed, if you need me to run it again with the program open I can do that
the database is showing v2014.08.31.02

Thanks for the help, much appreciated, just want to make you aware that I also have MBAE on this system, also have it on a Windows 7 Ultimate laptop and MBAM runs and loads with no problems
I went a bit beyond your instructions
I deleted MBAM Clean from my desktop and downloaded the latest version from your link
I deleted MBAM Setup from my desktop and downloaded the latest version from your link
I ran MBAM Clean not twice but three times, rebooting after each run
I then went to Program Files and also Program Files (X86) and the only folder related to Malwarebytes was MBAE, so that folder for MBAM was gone
I then went into Regedit , HKLM and also HKCU and there was no entries for MBAM but there was for MBAE
Disabled Microsoft Security Essentials and shut down Zone Alarm
Installed the latest version of MBAM, entered my ID and Key and activated the product
It said a scan has not been run so I ran the threat scan after it updated it....no threats where found
It seems that if I open MBAM each day it runs fine with no problems, it just seems like I have problems if I dont open it for few days
So this is where I stand , thanks again for your help with this
-
I start my computer each morning, leave it on for most of the day unless I need to be away from it for a few hours, then I will shut it down or if I am not away I will shut it down at night before I retire

I have ZoneAlarm firewall installed but MBAM had permissions to access the internet, so this is not preventing updates
When I load MBAM daily, no problem, the program loads with no problem and can do updates and scans, Why does this happen when I don't open MBAM for a few days ?????
I have already run MBAM Clean and did a reinstalled MBAM
-
I ran MBAM clean and reinstalled it, activated it and all is good, Will check in a few days if the same problem and let you know
-
I am just stating on how much I love MBAM , the best program bar none that has come down the pike in long time and I feel a bit vulnerable going online without it working and protecting me
-
Nice, lets see what they have to say about this. When I go online without MBAM protection enabled I feel like I am walking down my street naked

I sure can. My issues seems to appear after not opening MBAM or 6 or 7 days, when i open it daily there is no problem, I will get back to you in about a week and if still problems I will post the Procman log

Thank you, hope the dump files helped you guys
Used MBAM Clean and completely uninstalled MBAM
Downloaded the latest version , ran the threat scan ( no threats )
Entered my keycodes to activate it again
I now have MBAM (Premium) 2.0.2.1012
v2014.08.23.03
All is looking good, I will do as i have done last time and just let it be for about a week and then see if I run into the same problem
