  1. You could try something like this (Registry method) https://www.wikihow.com/Block-an-Application-or-.EXE-from-Running-in-Windows and block the .exe itself from being able to run. You should also be able to take it a step further and block all .7z, .rar, etc... but if you really want to stop access to the program, find the IPs used and block them at the router level to render the software useless.

  3. Yes this is a problem. I'm experiencing the same thing. If you could check your Event Viewer and let me know if you have any entries relating to MBAM or its components it would be nice. I have some event errors relating to it around the same time mine converted back to free and if we have similar errors then our problem might be the same.
