  1. MB updated Component Package 1.0.750 to 1.0.764 Ran a scan 57 seconds in duration - no issues or errors present Shut system down, followed by a reboot Ran another scan, following check for updates, duration 53 seconds - no issues or errors present Not sure what Component Package 1.0.764 fixed, no forum entry, but it seem to have worked
  2. Stopped working, again. I checked and received a definition update, hit the scan button, then it got wonky. The GUI remained on the MB open page, the scan page did not appear and the "Scan" button disappeared from the scan selection I then got the Malwarebytes Premium 4.0.4 (not responding) at the top of the page, but the time I opened Snip & Sketch to get a screen shot, MB opened to the scan page. The scan was at System Files with a 9 second duration and completed the scan 1 minute 17 seconds Windows Error: Description Faulting Application Path: C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbam.exe Problem signature Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: mbam.exe Application Version: 4.0.0.443 Application Timestamp: 5dcd9d3f Fault Module Name: Qt5Core.dll Fault Module Version: 5.13.2.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 5dcc36aa Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00198d49 OS Version: 10.0.18363.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: d7ee Additional Information 2: d7eedc8eb9696e01fe1d8bff42df8fc5 Additional Information 3: 8a08 Additional Information 4: 8a082729f008d045ffda51af26d4c782 Extra information about the problem Bucket ID: a2dba652ac65b0542fc0b4aee02a742b (2288027273882399787) Only difference from the last scan 19 Nov 2019 was the program update of the Component Package 1.0.718 to 1.0.750 Component Package was updated over existing package, not a clean install update MB Support Logs and WeTransfer Crash Dump Link https://we.tl/t-KPL3vlAtLV mbst-grab-results.zip
  3. You are very welcome Just a note: The System Tray still places the exclusion in the Detection History "Allow List" , along with RTP detection report for each entry and a mirror Website entry in the Settings "Allow List"
  4. Do we need the allow list twice? Updated to Component Package 1.0.750 MB 4.0.4.49 (Premium) Noticed this:
  5. Updated to Windows 10 Pro 1909 yesterday afternoon Turned on Event Log Data, updated MB definition, ran a scan first thing this morning and turned off Event Log Data, as stated in the doc files. No errors / issues during scan, guess it was a gremlin running around my system on the 10 Nov. But, I'll keep watch on subsequent scans
  6. 1. This was the first scan done with 4.0.4.49, waiting for the Windows 10 1909 update before trying to scan again (hopefully tomorrow sometime) 2. The GUI recovered on it's own and completed the scan, don't exactly remember how far the scan had progressed when the GUI ghosted out, I think it might have just started the the system files, the scans are done quick, usually around a minute and half, sometimes less 3. Nothing, I had booted up my system, checked and received definition updates for both Defender and Malwarebytes Malwarebytes was the only thing open on the desktop and hard drive light was off, so windows wasn't doing anything, that I'm aware of, as far as Audits or Store App upgrades etc etc
  7. Malwarebytes stopped working during system scan First, I checked for updates, which downloaded and installed. Started my weekly system scan, the scan started, then the Scan GUI suddenly ghosted out and I saw Malwarebytes Premium 4.0.4 (Not Responding) at the top of the GUI. It recovered and did finish the scan. Used the WeTransfer.com here'e the link https://we.tl/t-2Sxy2Ascfu mbst-grab-results.zip
  8. I've been on Beta MB 4.03.48 with no errors and just updated to Component Package 1.0.717, also error free It did seem like with MB 3.8.3, whenever a program or component package update, either the malwarebytes service or the Malwarebytes Tray Application wasn't stopped during the upgrade. Which was causing the errors. It doesn't seem to be the case with the Beta versions...so far.
  9. Was running MB 4.0.2.44 Component Package 1.0.690 with numerous system startups, restarts and scans with no issues / errors at all Just upgraded to MB 4.03.48 Component Package 1.0.690 and will run a scan after I close everything down, but I do believe everything will check out
  10. I have installed MB 4.0.2.44 Component Package 1.0.690 over top MB 3.8.3.2965 Component Package 1.0.629 Ran a scan with Updates, once I figured out the new layout LoL No errors occurred, but will run another scan after a few system restarts, both Hot Start & Cold Start Also, I have System Fast Boot Disabled, one the first things I did with Windows 10
  11. Thank you @LiquidTension I will wait for your diagnosis for the possible problem and fix
  12. I ran my 6 October Sunday Scan and the problem didn't not occur, but this morning 13 October Scan it did Source Malwarebytes Tray Application Summary Stopped working Date ‎10/‎13/‎2019 8:32 AM Status Report sent Description Faulting Application Path: C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbamtray.exe Problem signature Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: mbamtray.exe Application Version: 3.1.0.1840 Application Timestamp: 5d5c13ae Fault Module Name: Qt5Core.dll Fault Module Version: 5.11.1.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 5cba0161 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 0018dc19 OS Version: 10.0.18362.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 8c53 Additional Information 2: 8c536d1d6464d0857923512dd1020fab Additional Information 3: 6c92 Additional Information 4: 6c9234d51fddc0138193a9a19c57fdd7 Extra information about the problem Bucket ID: edd4c9e717c7aefde3f1cad3fa6c7fe7 (1437152767896223719) I have gathered a fresh set of logs and have included the Crash Dump File mbst-grab-results.zip mbamtray.exe.6188.zip
  13. Thank you, LiquidTension Got it, will run a scan to see if it reproduces. Just another note: the "Stopped Working" errors seem to only occur whenever a component package or program version update is copied over the existing version, using the "Install Application Updates" If you run the Support Tool Clean function and remove the old version first, then allow the Support tool to install the new version, or manually install it from the download file. No errors occur, so my best guess is the Install Applications Updates in the GUI is causing the problem, by not correctly updating or corrupting something in the program
  14. Ran your script twice and I'm not finding any folder or file named CrashDump / Crash Dump First attempt at running the script. I received Windows Defender is protecting your system, selected Run Anyway First & Second attempt the I got a green background elevated Cmd box Enable User Mode Crash Dumps v2.0 I even searched the entire C Drive without success
  15.
