  1. I'm currently unable to login to our business cloud control panel due to a new iPhone without 2FA setup. I have the correct email and password for our account. I've opened two support tickets through the business chat but cannot get anyone from business support to contact me back. I need to temporarily disable 2FA so I can get into the account and setup a new iPhone device for 2FA. When I call the business support number, it asks for information that I don't know that's stored within the control panel. Malwarebytes Support ticket 3927728 and 3930092 are my two support tickets, which appear to be useless.
  2. I presume this new update also means that the SEP 12/14 application exceptions are no longer required?
  3. Devin, I noticed that a newer version of MBAM 3.1.2 is now available. mb3-setup-consumer-3.1.2.1733-1.0.160-1.0.2251 is the name. Does this resolve the issues we're seeing with SEP and MB3? Thanks.
  4. I have yet to see a PC revert to the failed state after getting MB3.1.2 resolved with the SEP exceptions regardless if I used the trick with the self-protection module. And I have tested with installing some Windows Updates following the MB3 procedure. I installed some Optional Windows Updates that were available for some non-critical issues, rebooted and MB3.1.2 was fine.
  5. ThirdEye, I actually haven't tried it yet without adding the SEP exceptions. I simply stumbled upon the trick because I was frustrated by the SEP exceptions not working on a few of my PCs. I've now updated about 35 PCs with the MB3.1.2 issue and on about 25% of those, I was forced to use the trick. I honestly have no damn clue why the trick is working. But I also don't understand some of the decisions my wife makes so I just smile when it works.
  6. Arbrich, I discovered an odd little trick by accident that may help you. I've now updated about 20 PCs with the SEP exceptions to resolve the MB3 issues. On about 5 of them, I found that even after 4-5 reboots, I still couldn't get the modules of MB 3.1.2 to startup properly even after building the SEP exception rules. What I found was that on a PC that was in the error mode of MB3 with the modules not enabling properly and browsers, Adobe, Office getting blocked, I opened MB3, went to the Self-Protection Module and moved the green bar to the Off position. You'll get a Microsoft security alert and respond Ok. But MB3 will not actually disable the Self-Protection module and it'll stay in the On position and green. Immediately reboot and all is resolved with all MB3 modules enabled and all is well. And the Self-Protection module will be enabled. I don't know if this tweaks the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MBAMChameleon.sys driver but it has worked every single time for me.
  7. Devin, I can confirm that after rebooting each test PC a 2nd time following making these SEP 12 exceptions, Malwarebytes 3.1.2 is starting properly now with all modules and the Self-Protection module enabled. I've done 4 now as a test and a 2nd reboot has been consistently needed for whatever reason. And I have been adding the SEP exceptions as file and folder exceptions with Ignore for all scans. An application exception for each file has the same effect with SEP if "all-scans" is the rule type. I've also been cheating a touch to speed-up my tests by adding C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\* and C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\* to cover all MB3 data in each folder. For better security, individual exceptions would be better. Thanks.
  8. I did. There were six (6) driver exceptions and several folders\files. I'm using SEP 12.1.6 C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\farflt.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbae64.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MBAMChameleon.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MBAMSwissArmy.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mwac.sys C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\assistant.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\malwarebytes_assistant.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbam.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MbamPt.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MBAMService.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbamtray.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MBAMWsc.exe Also please exclude the following folders too: (The complete folder) C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService
  9. It didn't work for me either. I manually added all of these file and folder exceptions to SEP and then rebooted. MB3 still didn't start-up Web Protection and Malware Protection properly. Disabled Self-Protection Module and rebooted and all returned to normal with MB3. Clearly the issue is with the Self-Protection Module and SEP.
  10. KLee368, I have actually tried the mb-clean tool on several PCs and it's not solving my issue with Malwarebytes not starting all of the components properly. And when they don't start properly, it's making the PC unusable.
  11. Thanks. I have disabled the self-protection module on 7 client devices in 2 different networks. All running SEP 12.1.6 with Malwarebytes 3.1.2.
  12. Have either of you actually tried disabling the self-protect with Malwarebytes? While not the best setup, it's certainly better than what we have now with constant client calls following reboots. Support clearly doesn't have an answer for our issue.
  13. Thanks, Firefox. Sounds important enough to leave enabled. Kinda sandboxes Malwabytes away from other processes.
