I'm trying to clean up a computer for someone - I've managed to get rid of about 10,000 different infection elements using MalwareBytes Free. After restarting and re-running the scan it identifies 4 more items, I quarantine, it's confirmed that they have been removed and a re-start is needed. Re-start, re-scan, they are still there.
