  1. Greetings, I am not sure if this is the proper place to post this but figured I would give it a shot. I take online classes from a Sam Bowne who is a cybersecurity professor at City College San Francisco. I have witnessed this before as well, but it looks like MBAM is categorizing his personal website used for his classes as malicious (https://twitter.com/sambowne/status/1221836066874785798). Can anyone provide any insight on assisting with this going forward? He is a great asset to the cybersecurity community and allows anyone to participate in his classes completely free online. Thanks!
  2. Earlier this week I had an issue with my MBAM real time protection always turning off. Based on instructions found on the forum, I did a full uninstall with the Malwarebytes mb-clean tool. I then downloaded the "updated" mb3-setup-consumer-3.0.6.1469-1075.exe and made sure I was on Component package version: 1.0.75. Since I have updated MBAM, I have been getting intermittent Bad Pool Header BSOD within 10-20 minutes of boot up. 3. Are you familiar with C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Sparc? It appears to possibly be related to FireFox. Also, please be sure to have MBAM clean whatever it finds, hopefully that will fix what it found. Its hard to tell what exactly was wrong and I just cleaned up a few entries that weren't necessary. Could have been remnants of Conduit toolbar. As far as free AV's go, I'm not a fan of AVG because of all the ad's it displays trying to get you to purchase the full version. It also has average detection rates. I personally recommend Avast or Avira. 7. Hi ThyX, It looks like you previously ran ComboFix and AdwCleaner, do you have the log files that those tools produced? Note: You should not run ComboFix unless you are specifically asked to by a helper. Due to the power of this tool it is strongly advised that you do not attempt to act upon any of the information displayed by ComboFix without supervision from someone who has been properly trained. If you do so, it may lead to problems with the normal functionality of your computer. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- P2P/Piracy Warning: If you're using Peer 2 Peer software such as uTorrent, BitTorrent or similar you must either fully uninstall them or completely disable them from running while being assisted here.Failure to remove or disable such software will result in your topic being closed and no further assistance being provided. If you have illegal/cracked software, cracks, keygens, etc. on the system, please remove or uninstall them now and read the policy on Piracy.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Download CKScanner from here Important : Save it to your desktop.
