  1. Check the other posts in this forum. Lots of other users having this issue. It's supposedly a bad update that's causing mbam to not load its core components properly.
  2. The program has been great for me for the past few years. Ever since the 3.0 update (with the new interface) it's been buggy with protection though. Which is not something you want with a paid product. Scans aren't working past the update stage for almost every user of 3.0 onwards as of this morning. Updating to the latest version (3.1.2) doesn't help, and neither does doing a clean reinstall. There are droves of other users having issues. I know it's a very tense situation with that crazy ransomware thing still ongoing, but all we can do is sit and be patient for the time being. If you don't want to use their product anymore and paid for it, try contacting them directly and request a refund.
  3. Check the other three hot topics on this forum. A boatload of people have been having issues using mbam and it seems to have started within the past few hours.
  4. Dunno if its a "known" issue yet by the admins/moderators/developers, but from the two "hot" posts on the front page for this forum, there's a lot of people also having this problem. Before you try a clean install; don't bother. I tried already, because I was having issues with v3.0.6 turning on exploit protection. Clean uninstalled and reinstalled v3.1.2 and, like everyone else, scans won't work past the update phase, and web protection is turned off.
  5. Definitely a recent problem. Mbam premium has served me well for about two years, but it started getting really iffy around the 3.0 update. Protections turning off and auto updates not working, etc.
  6. Don't waste your time, I just did this. Running a week old Win10 pc and I went from 3.0.6 to 3.1.2 this morning when I noticed that exploit protection was off. The clean uninstall/reinstall went fine, but web protection wouldn't toggle on and scans won't turn on either.
  7. From the two "hot" posts it seems like this is a recent, and critical, issue. Web protection won't turn on and scans won't start. I'd like to say that i'm a little at ease in saying that this isn't just me, but with that new ransomware crap going around I can't say that I am.
  8. Also have this issue. Mbam premium, windows 10 home. Computer is about a week old at this point, and I haven't downloaded anything aside from windows updates, chrome, and steam (currently running windows 10 1703). Woke up this morning to my pc informing me that my MBAM (v3.12) exploit protection was turned off. IT wouldn't reenable. So I did a clean reinstall of mbam and reactivated my premium. Now it's telling me that web protection won't turn on (exploit protection is on though), and it also won't run scans (they'll boot up, check for updates, but as soon as it gets past the updates phase it stops the scan and says "Scan complete")
