  1. @AdvancedSetup Thanks, I think I fixed it. At first everything was slow, as others had mentioned. Then I unticked the web protection (it helped the guy in the other thread) but that shut off my internet and froze my pc. I ended up rebooting a couple times, managed to find the cleaner/reinstall tool. Seems to be working OK now. Thanks
  2. I'm having the same issue. As soon as I upgraded to 4.0 my pc is frozen. I can't even uninstall, it's stuck. I have two pc's and 4.0 worked fine on one, but today the other upgraded and now it's dead. Not sure what to do, since any help will involve getting error logs, and monkeying around with my frozen computer, which is impossible. Unhappy.
  3. Clicked on the check for updates (even though it said up to date) closed, reopened, everything fine.
  4. This app today seems to be freezing my PC on or off. I can't do anything with it. Somebody help please.
  5. I'm having the same problems. Things taking forever, web protection is off, eating all resources (I'm typing this on another machine). So far, all the responses are by the bot giving the same answer. Not so helpful. Something's up.
  6. That seemed to have done the trick, thanks for posting. I wanted to whitelist dropbox but I feared it might be a real hack and I'd end up with ransomware in my brain...
  7. I'm getting this as well. Every time I load a new page.
  8. According to one part of malware, I have the latest version but another part of the software says I need to update. I follow the instructions, click on the "restart computer" button, but it just keeps saying it needs to download and install the newest version. The orange window pops up occasionally to let me know. When I check for updates it says I'm current. I've been running on this computer for a few months without issue. It also seems to scan without issue. The only thing is the "need to update" loop I seem to be stuck in. mbupdatr.zip
