  1. What are you talking about? That is not even an answer! I can quote things too...
  2. Thanks, but A: Does it prompt you before removing the MBAM software? Is there any confirmation prior? Or is it just instant execution of scripts?? B. Is there any reason why it does not save all logs? Or at least do some house cleaning, and amalgamate all remnant logs and reports? (i.e. for troubleshooting). C: No? Depending? 😧 Sorry - I will make my question clearer, could you please provide a list of personally identifiable data you collect? e.g. Logged in User, or Logged in User's display name or email address? Or for example: current WAN IP or geographic information... Identifiable means attributes for my computer or my personal identity are stored inside the publicly downloadable ZIP files...
  3. Why did I get this error when I have NEVER installed Norton? No other firewall software was installed. No other firewall or ''security suite'' (AV etc) had been installed except ESET consumer. I got the error with a Malwarebytes WFC update. How ridiculous! After having two dozen updates of WFC, and only NOW it detects some random remnants of files that match the location of some Norton Suite? Something's not right. I think no matter what PC you ran that update on, it would have jsut executed some cleanup code, whether or not the software was present.
  4. Hi guys! Could someone please test their Binisoft WFC or Malwarebytes WFC firewall control?? Please test whether you can export your Firewall rules, make a rule change, then restore it all back?? Thanks!! Main Panel » Options » Rules » "Export Windows Firewall rules" Delete/Edit/Rename Rule
  5. Thank you. How often does the Binisoft developer visit the forums? Does anyone else use WFC, who can test this by just quickly installing the app, exporting config, make a change, then restore a backup please?? Thank you for your time!
  6. Thanks. I only knew of MBAM Clean... I didn't know you had a MBAM support tool. 👍😎👍 Q: Does "Clean" prompt you before uninstalling each product? Or does it prompt you for each product prior to uninstall (i.e. to confirm you should first backup xyz first). Or is the app smart enough to create a backup of the configuration and app logs, and then perform the clean? Does it remove all quarantined objects and diagnostic logs? Q: What functions/tools are available under "repair system"? E.G. SFC? Disk/Partition? Locked file removal? Delete file on reboot? Create restore point? Maybe easier to run locally anyway. FYI: You may need to update your screenshots above and post template to correlate with 4 sections (not 3). Q: Is all identifiable data removed form logs prior to export? e.g. if posted on forums, etc.
  7. Tried posting on WilderSecurity too, but after registering back in 2018 I still have to wait for posts to be verified... Plus sometime just deleted my post!... Exactly what I wrote above!!??
  8. @AdvancedSetup Thanks mate. Binisoft WFC became Malwarebytes WFC. Hence the dozens and dozens of WFC posts in the forums. Used to be $$ with Binisoft. But now it's free.
  9. Hello guys, I am having an issue with the EXIM feature (export/import). Could someone please test the export/import function with their WFC rules (Options » Rules » Export Windows Firewall Rules) and then try and import them?? Even after Reboot - No rules have been imported. No changes. I don't think the feature works... Cannot restore default rule backup!!! Could someone please give this a try and see whether the rules are correctly restored? (e.g. delete one unimportant rule, then restore). Thank you! 🙏🏻😑
  10. Hello guys, Basically I am having an issue with the EXIM feature (export/import) and I am wondering if anyone could please test the export/import function with their WFC rules (Options » Rules » Export Windows Firewall Rules) and then try and import them. Upon import, it shows a progress bar and then after a few seconds it states the operation / restore process was successful. I open up settings and navigate to rules on the left-hand menu. > Import Rules Reboot. However all the rules are exactly as they were prior to import. Nothing has changed. No rules have been imported. Reset Rules > Yes. > Import Rules Nothing changes! Just default WFC rules (or default Windows rules). I don't think the feature works... Or, perhaps there is a corruption in my rules? Nope. Cannot even restore default blank rule backup!!! Could someone please give this a try and see whether the rules are correctly restored? (e.g. delete one unimportant rule). Thank you! p.s. Posting in ''Malwarebytes for Windows'' as is it is Malwarebytes WFC for Windows! 😵
