  1. So no-one can tell me if Malwarebytes works fine on Windows LTSC?
  2. Thanks for your reply. I wouldn't be asking if I didn't have access to it. I can purchase it via a website that sells such activation keys legally in my country. So my original question still stands.
  3. Hey guys, I want to upgrade my computer with Win 7 to Windows 10 LTSC. I've read a lot about this and I like that the LTSC version of Windows only gets security updates and no bloatware. Does Malwarebytes work fine on LTSC? Should I go for LTSC or regular Win10 when it comes to security? I should mention I have NOD32 Antivirus v14 running alongside Malwarebytes v4.3. Thanks!
  4. Hey @1PW Thanks for the detailed reply. I guess I'll run the Compatibility Checker, although I think my system is compatible, then I'll find the time to upgrade to Windows 10 before the end of the year. I read that my key for Win 7 Pro works for a clean install of Win 10, so that's an added bonus, because I prefer a clean install. Cheers!
  5. I'm still running Windows 7 Pro x64. I have Malwarebytes Premium + Eset NOD32 Antivirus running in my systray and up to date. The question is: will I still be safe after 14 January 2020, when Microsoft ends support for Windows 7? Or should I update to Windows 10? Thanks.
  6. Hei Arthi, thanks for pointing that out. I attached the logs, hopefully they'll prove useful. mbst-grab-results.zip
  7. Hey all, I have a plugin for Internet Explorer that I need to run in order to watch legal video streams. Unfortunately, I can't run it while Malwarebytes is running because the browser crashes and Malwarebytes gives me the reply you can read in the attached file. Can anyone explain how to exclude this addon so I can watch the video streams? I don't want to exclude IE altogether because I don't want to be exposed to malware. Thanks! error.txt
  8. Problem solved, @dcollins. Thank you so much. Here's the story: Starting Firefox, IE 11 or Opera doesn't trigger any notifications from Malwarebytes. I don't have any Chrome extensions that are set to load in incognito mode. I only have 2 extensions (I don't use Chrome much) and after disabling one of them, the notification went away! Here's the problematic extension: VK Music Download - Save Vkontakte audio 6.0.7 I installed it a long time ago, before having Malwarebytes, and totally forgot about it. I would have noticed it right away because the notification comes up when you enable it in Chrome. It's not allowed to start in incognito mode, but it seems that it does anyway. It's a dodgy plugin so I got rid of it. Thank you all for your help!
  9. Thank you, Firefox. @dcollins Starting Chrome directly into incognito mode makes the same popup appear, yes. As I said, if Chrome is already started and I start another instance of it (incognito or not), the popup does not appear.
  10. Alright, sir, I have attached the logs. Thanks! mb-check-results.zip
  11. Hey Firefox, thanks for your message. Unfortunately, it doesn't apply to me since I'm not logged into Chrome, so it's not a sync issue. What else can it be?
  12. I get this warning each time I start the Chrome browser: It doesn't happen if the browser is already started and I open a new tab or start another session. I have the latest MBAM. Can someone please explain what that website is and why Chrome always connects to it on first start? Thanks!
  13. I did just that and removed all entries for ACE-related exe's and re-added them and I think it's OK now. I've done a little testing, but will do more in the future. Also, I added some more exe files to the list of excluded file. See attached. Thanks for your help, thanks everyone, I hope this problem never rises again!
  14. Hello and thank you for your fast reply. The problem with the domain blocking I've also discussed in another topic and the log is there: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/212699-livescorecom/ About the application: I use AceStream from AceStream.org and it connects to a lot of IPs when I watch a sports video stream. The only problem I have is that the Web Protection module starts blocking IPs every 2 seconds, probably thinking it's an attack on the computer or something. So I just disable the Web Protection for the duration of the live event. I excluded the application exe files and also the whole folder, it doesn't work. But since I don't watch live events all the time, I didn't report it. But the problem with the websites (like www.livescore.com) persists even when they are listed in the exclusions and I don't understand why. It looks like excluding the IP works, so I've excluded the IPs for the website and its CDN: And it works! So instead of URLs I will try and block IPs in the future. Also, I did the MB-Check and attached the result. Thank you. mb-check-results.zip

  16. Hello, I have attached a screenshot of a website I excluded and still gets blocked. Malwarebytes Exclusions don't work for websites, but also for applications. I have an application allowed that still gets blocked, but I figured maybe the app has addons or something that I don't know about. But when it comes to websites, it should be straighforward. Still, Exclusions don't work. What to do?
  17. I noticed today that this domain is blocked: www.livescore.com I even added it to Exclusions and it still gets blocked. Why is that?
  18. Thank you very much for your answers. I have a lot of data (a few terrabytes) and backing up is very hard. I think I'll read some more before upgrading to Windows 10.
  19. So here is my (possibly newbie) question: which of the 2 setups below is more vulnerable to ransomware? Windows 10 (fully updated) + latest NOD32 Antivirus + latest Malwarebytes vs. Windows 7 (fully updated) + latest NOD32 Antivirus + latest Malwarebytes I am currently still running Windows 7 and I want to know if I should upgrade to Windows 10 from the point of view of ransomware and similar attacks. Thanks!
  20. I have written an email just now and I will wait for a reply from the Legal department. Thank you both very much.
  21. Thank you for the fast reply. I will write them an email then. But if the site is trustworthy, it should work, right?
  22. Hello, I want to buy Anti-Malware lifetime key from a website that still sells them. Will the key work to activate the new Malwarebytes 3.0? And will it be valid for lifetime? Please help. Thank you.
