  1. And this is why I use Malware bytes. Thank you for the quick fix. Just waiting for the update to reach me.
  2. Hello, Today I reinstalled my Starry Night Program Astronomy program by Simulation Curriculum. I've been using it a few years now and when I went to update the software after installation malwarebytes quarantined it as a Ransomware program.
  3. Thanks for the clarification. The "We believe in a layered defense" came from the post I linked here on the MB forum. Been using Malwarebytes for a long time. Even have the lifetime upgrades. Just threw me off while using the Windows Creators Update that Windows Defender shutoff and was using MB as the anti-virus. Glad John told me how to fix it. I'm going to send some feedback to Microsoft about it to let them know. The new Windows 10 update is due out around April 11th. 5. Hello John, Thanks that worked. I agree we should be asked before any program shuts down Windows Defender. Thanks again! Though Malwarebytes seems to be going in the direction of being an Antivirus. Taken from the Malwarebytes News section: "Announcing Malwarebytes 3.0, a next-generation antivirus replacement"
  6. I am helping to test out the next version of Windows 10 due out soon. Called Windows Creator Update. I noticed now Windows Defender shuts off when the malware protection is enabled in Malwarebytes. If I shut off malware protection in Malwarebytes Windows Defender will turn back on. I was looking for any information on this and I came across this about Malwarebytes 3.0. Can I still run Malwarebytes alongside my Symantec, McAfee, etc.? Certainly! We built Malwarebytes 3.0 to be compatible with all major antivirus software, even Windows Defender and Microsoft Security Essentials.
