Do you see this for only for one particular server or none of the servers you connect to gives you a private IP?
Can you please try connecting to multiple servers and check if you still see the issue ?
Also when MBPrivacy is connected and you don't see a private IP, can you still access internet ?

It looks like you have the following program installed: HP Connection Optimizer
Is there any way you can temporarily disable that program and then connect MBPrivacy and give it a try?
