  1. Hi, this worked for me. I uninstalled malwarebytes from my system, downloaded malwarebytes from the link provided in the post below, installed it, and my problems have been resolved. The software works just fine now.
  2. @AdvancedSetup Oh I prefer not to think about that day. I know it will come some day but it's gonna break me in two, Dog is my world.
  3. LOL those are great! Alright, I'll be the inappropriate one....why do men have nipples
  4. i'm reading a book about antigravity....I can't put it down... Did you hear about the band called 1023 MB? They haven't had a Gig yet... I don't like computer jokes, not one bit.... Where do astronauts hang out? The Spacebar. Addition to the moses tea joke, at the end you say "I'm not kidding, that Israeli how he does it." schrodinger's cat walked into a bar, and didn't haha stop me now please Oh I could go on and on lol I am quite nerdy.
  5. Dog for sure I couldn't live without one. And having had a small dog first, and now a large dog who btw is turning 13 in a few weeks I can honestly say bigger is better, there's no match for the bond between a large dog and their human. Mine has me wrapped around his paw.
  6. Excuse me, i'm new here, decided to have a look around as it's my first day on the forums and what did I find? This thread you created, roughly one hour from when I made my thread as far as I can see, and what a coincidence that someone would name their thread the same as mine, the probability huh, and I see no mention of a "Final release slowing boot time dramatically." in your post, but I do see mention of trolls... pardon me but it sounds a smidge as if you are calling me a troll? I mean I don't see how all of this could be a mere coincidence...what is the purpose of this might I ask?
  7. While this may not be a direct answer to your question....have you tried Gmail? You may find you have less problems, now and in the future by simply using Gmail instead, of course this would mean creating a Gmail account, adding in your contacts (people who you email) either by means of exporting your contacts list and importing it into gmail, or adding them manually, Gmail is free to use, simple to customize and more secure. In my opinion..
  8. If I'm not mistaken thats a MBR issue... if you can't run the windows startup repair I'd only be guessing as to how to help you from there without a windows disc... 1. have you made any hardware changes to the PC since you last created your system image? Do you have universal restore on your version of Acronis? (restore to dissimilar hardware) Do you know if it's MBR or GPT? Are you using a SSD? After restoring from an image you should unplug the other HDD that you restored from...I mean if you have 2 hard drives installed in the system and both are identical (clones), unplug the one that you restored FROM, so as not to confuse the system at boot. Does that make sense?
  9. Holy heck that's a crapton of personal info in that log. Every game I play, every program installed on my PC, network stuff, every device I have attached to my PC call me the privacy nut here but yeah, i'm gonna pass on that...and do some reading on it since i've never heard of it before, I mean I don't see anything out of the ordinary listed, just crap I own and crap I have installed... but what exactly are we looking for in here? I'm a quick study enlighten me Senpai.
  10. I see that now after looking it up. I'll disable norton and run it, one sec....
  11. So... downloading Farbar resulted in Norton Security removing it immediately... not sure how I feel about that. Going to look it up. I've included 2 screenshots of that.. perhaps because the file is so new that Norton sees it as a threat? I was able to download and run the mbam check no problem and have attached the log. MB-CheckResult.txt
  12. @AdvancedSetup I have installed the latest version from the provided link, and the boot time impact is largely resolved. It is ever so slightly slower in shutting down still which doesn't bother me. The boot issue has decreased dramatically, from roughly a 60 second hang time to nearly negligible. Would you still like me to go ahead and download Farbar and get you those logs? It is entirely possible that the original issue was created by me installing mbam version 3 over another version. When I received the notification I had simply Installed the updated version on top of the existing...after this was done I had the slow boot to desktop issue after the windows logo, I then uninstalled mbam completely and the issue was gone. I reinstalled it from the website and the issue was there again... uninstalled it and issue was resolved, now with this latest version I installed from the link you provided to me the issue is gone and all is working, also noted, I no longer have the notification saying real time protection is off...and refusing to go on/stay on regardless of how many times I clicked it... those issues are gone and my PC is functioning normally as is MBAM as far as I can tell.
  13. If you had only what I had said to go by then you should have sent a message to me and asked me for more info before accusing me of theft and violating the EULA... here you are defending your public accusation instead of apologizing. Take a breath man.... have a cup of coffee and get to know someone before you tear them apart...you will scare people away from here with your attitude..and that ultimately loses money for the company. As for my post on someone elses thread not being replied to within 24 hrs.. well, I made my own thread instead because new threads get looked at...and every day that I leave my computer vulnerable is a day to many for me. I replied to another users thread in hopes this would be seen...when it wasn't I created my own thread, which btw is a separate issue from the issue mentioned in the other users thread... have a look.
  14. First of all, thank you for the replies, from both Firefox and from AdvancedSetup, I will install this latest version from the link provided and get back with you asap. I appreciate your time.
