  1. I am now happy as this is now resolved after executing a system file check/repair command. "sfc.exe /scannow". The latest MWB is now installed and running perfect! Thanks Porthos for your effort in trying.😉👍
  2. Thanks Porthos, but sorry to say I just tried this and it too does not work. FYI this problem has only recently occured as I updated MWB not that long ago, about 2 months ago. Also I've been using Surfshark now for nearly 12 months and its never shown any conflicts with MWB. I've even tried installing older versions realeased in the last year or so and they too wont install, and I've even attempted an install in Windows Safe mode with no luck there either. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Hi Porthos, thanks for your reply but unfortunately this did not work for me. I even tried fully uninstalling Surfshark to attempt install of malwarebytes, but concludes with the same error message.
  4. Hi, I am stuck with MWB not reinstalling. Originally I carried out the usual app update and it basically didn't happen. After several attempts it would not complete the install and stop about halfway through with a popup window saying the installation failed. I have used the support tool to attempt a reinstallation including system reboot about 10 times but no luck there. Nothing seems to work. If someone could point me in the right direction would be appreciated. I have attached result from the support tool. Thanks in advance. mbst-grab-results.zip
  5. Btw.. I'd appreciate some input from a team member of MB. .. why does chameleon download v2.2 and not the one on the front page? is it seriously a beta release?
  6. It's now fixed and working. I've been using the latest release of MB so I uninstalled it and then installed an older version (2.1.6.1022) which I had in a local backup. Then I did an update from there which took it to v2.2.1.1043. which is not the one on the MB front page for download... huh!? which I thought was the latest stable release. It's version 3.0.6.1469 which I think is a beta release. Grrrr!! this has wasted so much of my time. Why are is there a beta releases on the front page for download !? This gave me so much grief! A now happy 'Premium lifetime license' user.
  7. Over the last couple of days I've had PC startup issues and had to uninstall some software including Malwarebytes and now everything is fixed. I've reinstalled all other software other than Malwarebytes which has failed me 4 times now. It continually gives an error message titled "Unable to start" which also says "Unable to connect to the service" (see screenshot) I've rebooted my pc several times and reinstalled MB over and over with the exact same error popup everytime. What can I do to fix this? running on Windows 10 cheers
  8. Thanks all the same but this thread is now closed. I'm sorry as I seriously don't have the time nor patience to go through and give that mass amount of information that mostly appears highly daunting to me. For a very small problem there must be a better way for gods sake! If I knew the kind of grief this would bring I would not of bothered signing up to this forum. It's not worth my time and rather spend it on better things in life as this is a minor first world problem. I'm not mad, just disappointed with a good opportunity for change.
  9. No, but I was using comodo antivirus for a few years up until a few weeks back when I changed to Panda. Recently I did a compete custom system scan with both MBAM and Panda and both found absolutely nothing, and thought my system was clean. I had MBAM set to scan with all options ticked and all drives ticked.
  10. Websites blocked.. probably from using uTorrent.. and how could that supposedly be the culprit?
  11. It could be a few seconds, or 5 minutes, or half hour. No time is really measured it just seems to sit there always showing the red triangle exclamation mark roughly on a daily basis and after my system is booted. It could be booted from sleep or a cold boot. If it's booted or rebooted on within the same day the bug doesn't appear only after a guesstimated 24 hours it will show itself.
  12. Hi D-Ring, although it's just a first world problem I do appreciate your support as this has been an annoyance for a few months now.
  13. Hi Aura, thanks for that but previously I had tried this and it had the same effect. Although this only happened in the previous version (MBAM 3.0.5) so i will give it another try with the latest release and I'll get back to you. BTW, so why is there an option to have it set to update daily and yet it continues to get this error? cheers
