  1. My Windows system is Windows 10 version 1607 (OS Build 14393. 969) Thank you.
  2. I have been using the latest Beta update since it came available with no problems whatsoever. Thank you! (No doggy bag needed or asked for)
  3. Thank you for the information Galileo. Luckily I didn't need it, when I created a shortcut without administrative privileges Malwarebytes opened and worked fine. Just an update, no problems with Malwarebytes, and no need to reset my privileges. Keeping my fingers crossed.
  4. I noticed that problem too, when I gave the shortcut administrative privileges, Malwarebytes failed to open. Took admin privileges off the shortcut and it worked fine.
  5. This topic has been an eye opener for me. I thought I was being lucky in having no problem/s with Malwarebytes, because I had none of the usual problems that other users seemed to be having. Malwarebytes always seemed to be working fine, but I was having a problem with my profile being corrupted, which I thought was a Windows 10 problem. It never occurred to me that the frequent requests for me to verify my Microsoft account could be anything but a windows problem. When I first became aware of the problem it made me think, so I followed the advice given here on this forum. I turned off 'Start Malwarebytes at Windows Start up' and put a shortcut in the Start up Folder. Hopefully that will solve the profile problem. Everything seems to be ok now, I haven't had a request to reset my windows profile, the only thing that seems different is the Malwarebytes 'Splash Screen' that appears when Malwarebytes starts up, which is a reassurance that everything has been activated in Malwarebytes. My thoughts are with how many other users are having this problem without realising that it is a Malwarebytes problem. This should be a major concern for Malwarebytes and I am surprised and shocked that they haven't addressed the problem.
  6. Bad news for Malwarebytes Admin I'm afraid. You'll have to get some more doggie biscuits!
  7. And why would admin be so kind as to give me a doggie biscuit, as if I would accept it anyway.
  8. Sorry bdubrow, I should have mentioned my stats. Windows 10 Home 64bit, Version 1607, OS Build 14393.693 Pentium Dual-core T4300, 4.00GB ram.
  9. Four weeks now since I installed Malwarebytes 3, and still I have no problems using it. It always opens with no question mark, everything is activated. It is always up to date, all protections are on. Could my good fortune be down to the fact that I am running no other antivirus software apart from Windows Defender. My windows firewall is on, and that is all I use to keep my computer safe. I may be misguided but most of the problems that users are experiencing seem to be connected with other well known virus and malware solutions. I trust Malwarebytes. Just my humble observations.
  10. Porthos said I did have a small problem when I first tried to update to Malwarebytes 3.00. I tried the Uninstall Malwarebytes tool and the new version still wouldn't install properly. I did a registry search for 'malwarebytes' and deleted all references, did a further search on my hard drive and deleted all references to 'malwarebytes'. After a reboot, Malwarebytes installed and has since been working perfectly. So I must agree with you, an uninstall tool that will clean all things would be welcome.
  11. Sorry Telos I was just trying to be helpful. I thought a forum was a place where helpful advice was sought, and that is what I intended my post to reflect.
  12. I think it is only fair to speak up about Malwarebytes 3. I have used Malwarebytes for quite some time now and never had any problems. Recently I upgraded to Malwarebytes 3.00 before reading all the negative comments here on the forum, which was lucky for me, if I had seen them it would have put me off upgrading to Version 3. I would like to point out that I have had no problems whatsoever with Malwarebytes 3.06. It works perfectly, stopping all the dangerous Trojans and viruses that are so common today. The web protection is very welcome and useful and it works perfectly all the time, so my advice to all those that are being put off is, just try it. I suspect that for the majority it does what it is supposed to. Thanks to all the team.
