  1. True that. I was just wondering if Malwarebytes wanted to know and if there's a place where I could forward this scam email. Thanks.
  2. Just received an email claiming to be Malwarebytes that just charged me for a new license with an activation key for $420.23. Obviously I already have two lifetime licenses therefore no way I need another one. Where do I report such scam?
  3. I have been on and off having the same problem. The last time I asked for help was Dec 2017 but the problem went away after I "updated" even the version I had was up-to-date. It's happening again tonight and I was going to do another update. When I googled for a new MB update a website TechSpot came up as a search result, saying a new MB database update just came out today and that we could download it with just one click. I don't want to download anything from a non Malwarebytes website. Can you confirm this new database update? If so, can you provide a link to download here. One can never be too careful these days. TIA.
  4. I have the same issue. It has been like this on and off for months. Sometimes if will fix without having to do anything if I am willing to wait without real time protection long enough. I tried updating but it always says the current version is up to date. I even tried grabbing the "New component" pinned on top of this forum but it said no new installation updates could be found. When you ask for logs could you be more specific on how to do it? Not everyone is tech savvy and I have no idea where to find the logs and how to link them here.
  5. Thank you! I will give it a bit time before clicking on it next time. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
  6. Malwarebytes sends me a bubble or two everyday asking me to check for updates but each time I check the result is always the same, I have the updated version. Current version 3.1.2.1733 Component package version 1.0.160 Update package version 1.0.2358 Am I up-to-date? If so, why do I have to check everyday?
  7. I wish that worked for me. My computer was wiped clean and I had to reinstalled everything including Malwarebytes but the problem still pops up daily multiple times. Very annoying.
  8. I did the enable and disable thing but they automatically turned back on/off. I do have Kaspersky on my computer but I have been running Kaspersky and Malwarebytes concurrently for a couple of years and never had any problem until two weeks ago. After making my initial post my computer had to go to a shop, it came back with the hard drive wiped. I thought reinstalling Malwarebytes would help but it did not help at all. The orange warning window still pops up randomly. I understand you want me to whitelist certain files on my anti virus but I have no idea how to get there. I am a low tech old woman who used Malwarebytes thinking that would make my computer experience easier. Could you be so kind to walk me through the steps where to find those files so I can finally put this to rest? Thank you in advance.
  9. It started happening to me yesterday. Clicking "turn on" didn't work. I had to go into "protection settings" to manually turn them on one by one. Having to do this every day when I turn on the computer is very annoying. Someone please fix it.
