  2. I second this request for automatic version updates. I waste hours updating multiple computers. Moreover, as far as I can tell, version updates cannot be initiated from within MBAM (Premium) itself? Clicking on 'updates' does not check for version updates. In fact, MBAM does not even notify the user that an update exists! One has to first learn that an update exists by searching the website. (At least this is the case going from 3.2 to 3.3) And then download via a browser. And then manually install. Thank you, - Mike
  3. I am having the same problem. Scan fails, but says successful complete after 2 sec. Requested log files are attached. Win 10 64 MWB v3.2.2.2029 CU 1.0.212 Just reinstalled MWB twice today, and rebooted multiple times, in order to get Web Protection to start. Now the Scan is failing. This is the second of our computers that I have seen the MWB Scan failing in two days. mb-check-results.zip Addition.txt FRST.txt
  4. I think I have finally solved the myriad problems I've been having with MB 3.0.6 Premium and also MARW Beta. On multiple computers, all running Win 10. On one computer, I could not reinstall MB 3.0.6. Finally, I did a clean uninstall using Revo Uninstaller Free with Windows in Safe Mode, using the Administrator account. Then reboot. While still in Safe Mode, Administrator, I successfully reinstalled MB 3.0.6. The installation automatically recognized my Premium setting. Reboot again and everything worked. Our other computers never had MARW Beta. Their problem was that Protection: Real Time: Web Protection was off and refused to turn on. This was solved, on all computers, by turning on Protection: 'Enable self-protection module early start'. Then turning on Protection: Real Time: Web Protection. Then closing and reopening MB. (This method is suggested somewhere in the forum, or the MB help files.) Another side note: I was surprised to see a scan is not automatically set to run routinely in Scan Schedule. So I turned on the daily Normal scan on all computers too. Thanks to Aura and everyone else for their help getting MB to work!
  5. Aura wrote that " Malwarebytes 3.0 Premium bundles Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware as a protection module, ..." Can anyone confirm this? If so, does the built-in MARW module need to be activated or switched on somehow? And how does this module's performance compare to the MARW Beta? I don't remember seeing it inside MB3 Premium when I had it installed. I can't look now because I am waiting untll MB gets back to me and assure me my machine is clean, before I reinstall MB3.
  6. Please post a large warning on the Anti-Ransomware Beta download site, that both Malwarebytes 3.0 Free and Premium conflict with Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware Beta. The two together create major problems that are difficult to diagnose, and then removing and re-installing the software creates additional headaches. All time consuming and unnecessary. Unless I overlooked something, there is no warning. Also, please forgive that I have contacted both Aura and dcollins via other methods about this.
  7. 3.0 is the latest version. That's what I'm running. Do you happen to know -- why wouldn't Anti-Ransomware be compatible with the latest version of their primary software? And do you know what sort of Anti-Ransomware are people running with 3.0?
  8. Install, uninstall, and activation problems with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium and Anti-Ransomware beta. Can you help? My two files are attached below. History: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium; Win 10 - 64 -- This was running correctly since original installation Feb 2016. I installed Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware beta a few days ago, and this would not install properly. I tried to uninstall which caused more problems. I finally had to resort to Revo Uninstaller to delete both Malwarebytes products. I then ran the mb-check and FRST64 per these instructions below including the reboots (your staff - DCollins, posted today). ------start---- mbam-clean does not support MB3 at this time, and can cause issues like this. Before we go further, please perform the following steps so we can verify things are cleaned up properly. Inside of control panel, uninstall any existing versions of Malwarebytes that are on the computer and reboot Please download the attached fixlist.txt file and save it to your desktop Then download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool from here http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/ and save it to your desktop. Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. **After you click the Download Now 64-bit, or the Download Now 32-bit, another page will open — DO NOT CLICK ANY ADDITIONAL 'download now' buttons, just wait and look toward the bottom of your browser for the option to Run or Save. Click Save. Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to the disclaimer. Note: If you are prompted by Windows SmartScreen, click More info followed by Run anyway. Click the Fix button, it may prompt you to restart, which you should do if asked When the process has finished, it will save a log in the same directory the tool was run from named fixlog.txt Reboot the computer Please download mb-check from the following url: https://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mb3_check Run mb-check, which will create a file named mb-checkResult.txt on your desktop Please upload the following two files mb-checkResult.txt fixlog.txt This will help us verify that everything is removed properly so we can start from a clean slate ------------end---- What do you see in the log files. Can I reinstall? Other caveats or instructions? mb-checkResult.txt Fixlog.txt
