  1. Thanks Aura - I may give that one last try - however my concern is that it will autoupdate at some point and go back to 3,0.6. Todd
  2. I've had it folks - I am officially uninstalling and NOT reinstalling this 3.0.6. I thought I had everything working again on this computer after 4 hours or more of time but it appears as if there are still issues - I am running a scan on the system and it is hung up on file GLOBAL_PRODUCT_BG_BLUE_HD.JPG which is nothing more than a small JPG file in the H P Envy 5660 printer folder.... its been sitting on this file for 12 minutes now. I am done - no more Malwrebytes 3.0.6 Premium for me ! Todd.

  4. Malwarebytes is not the first company to have gone this route and will not be the last - but the truth of the matter is you cannot continually stay in business while continually giving away products or selling them for dirt cheap. Will be interesting to see how this all shakes out going forward.
  5. Update - I did get rid of the files in the quarantine folder by exiting from Malwarebytes and manually removing them - thanks for that suggestion. Todd
  6. After the 3.06 update the system freezes. There is another thread that is dealing with a McAfee / Malwarebytes issue and I think this is where the problem lies. Additionally - when doing a Malwarebytes scan it gets to a point and then just sits and spins and will not go any further. Additionally additionally the McAfee scans take twice as long as previous to the 3.06 update. Lastly - one of the spots the Malwarebytes programs "hangs" is when scanning the quarantine files - but as mentioned in a previous post - I cannot delete those files - AND - Malwarebytes does not "see" them within the program because while testing the system the program was removed and then reinstalled - after the reinstall it no longer sees or recognizes the files in the quarantine folder. I sure would love to get rid of that folder or the files that it contains. Thanks for your time ! Todd.
  7. Just checkin in to see if there was a result from all of this - thanks! Todd.
  8. The notebook I am using started with this very issue - this is the reason Malwarebytes was uninstalled and then reinstalled. I really believe there is a compatibility issue between McAfee and Malwarebytes 3.06. I will try to follow this thread for sure. Todd.
  9. dcollins - out of time today - will attempt tomorrow and post result - thanks! Todd.
  10. dcollins - Thanks for the speedy response. I'd love to do as instructed - however - the product was removed and then reinstalled. The reinstalled product does not "see" the files therefore I do not have a Quarantine Tab Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated. Todd.
  11. Can someone please help with how to remove the files in the quarantine folder. Windows gives me a 'you must be an administrator" error ( I am the administrator ). I tried File Assassin and another file removal program - neither help. I need these gone because the Malwarebytes scan dies in this folder and will not continue. I do not need the contents of it so I just want to delete the files. Thank you in advance. Feel free to email me a response if you want - that is fine too. Todd.
