  1. MB is open, meaning the icon is visible in the System Tray where I can click on it and the dashboard appears. It is not manually scanning or auto-scanning. The resource hog is the MBAM service which is what I have to manually stop in order to use my computer.
  2. I think I get it now. Pretty funny. MWB version 3 takes up so much of my i7 PC's resources that it is unusable. After attempting to open Firefox, and after waiting about 3 minutes and it still didn't open, I see MB is taking up over 700 MB of RAM. Nearly 100% of resources being used. After attempting to open Task Manager to kill MWB (again), and after waiting 3 more minutes for Task Manager to open, I was finally able to kill this miserable beast. Now my computer runs normal. As I said, pretty funny how an anti-malware program prevents malware by not allowing you access to your browser. You guys really need to address this. I have it on three Windows 10 x64 machines and the problem affects all three.
  3. I'm here because I'm at the point of uninstalling MB on my three machines. When MB routinely takes between 300 MB and 700 MB of RAM - the point where my PCs are unusable - something needs to be done. It's ridiculous on my laptop but it's even a problem on my i7 desktop with 16 MB RAM. It sometimes uses more resources than my browser with several open tabs. When it impedes my ability to do my work efficiently (frequenlty), I go in as Administrator and turn off the MBAM service until it isn't as critical. It was a great product but no longer is since it can't operate in the background and be transparent. I uninstalled and reinstalled 3.0.6 again just now - one last time - hoping there will be some improvement.
  4. Well that answers that. Thanks again. Hopefully they'll work out the bugs with v 3.0 before too long.
  5. Thanks for the link. I need to research and see if it has the same capabilities and if there will contnue to be daily updates. Cheers.
  6. Sorry. If I wasn't clear. I uninstalled and re-installed 3.0.6. The problems continue after re-install.
  7. I would love to have the old version back. Using v 3.0.6 with Windows 10/64 on three machines, I am getting the following: Large use of system resources (RAM), sometimes over 600 MB, bringing my PC to its knees with 16 GB of RAM. Dashboard refuses to open from double-clicking icon in System Tray and from the Windows Start menu. If/when it does open, it often comes up NOT RESPONDING When dashboard does open, it takes a while after giving up trying to open it. I just timed it now and it took almost THREE minutes before being able to browse Dashboard. These problems continue after uninstalling it using the MWB cleaner tool. Is version 2 still supported?
