OK, I'm going to download the Support tool now. I have a slightly different issue now: the system tray icon has the red exclamation mark showing and says Real Time Protection is off, but when I open the programme it says I am fully protected and all protection tabs show as on. So which is it??? I don't know if I can even trust this programme to work properly anymore, I'd like to recommend it to others - but how can I? It's so unreliable now. I'll post a log from the support tool shortly.

I am absolutely fed up with this issue. I keep going round in circles with Malwarebytes asking me to reboot to get real time protection started. It just will not start no matter what I do. I am on Windows 7. What am I paying for? This problem is OVER A YEAR OLD!!! Right now I've given up and am running it without real time protection. Just not good enough is it really?

Thankyou. That seems to have fixed it all for now. Oddly, I couldn't update the programme from within the programme, it kept saying it was up to date.

Hello, Once again yet another issue with this paid for programme (the most problematic programme I've ever bought, I expected better of Malwarebytes tbh). The 'Malware Protection: Prevents Malware Infections' link will neither start - nor start when I click on it (see image attached). Anyone have any ideas? The prog is up to date. Thanks in advance.

I think you are missing the point, people are PAYING good money for the latest and best protection NOT to have to uninstall, reinstall and downgrade. I think you need to think about lowering the price considerably or offer refunds to those that paid for this programme since the introduction of version 3.0 - it just isn't fit for purpose currently. I for one am very disappointed with it especially as Malwarebytes has such a great reputation. Malwarebytes - you need to get it fixed fast to save face.

I'm a bit annoyed about this actually as it is a PAID for programme - and not cheap at that. Just shoddy and the same issues keep happening. I also have tried all the 'fixes' with no joy again..... Refund anyone?????

I bought a 1 year licence for Malwarebytes but I feel really let down, it is quite an expensive programme for just 1 year (UK money). It is the absolute latest version. The balloon just keeps opening (See image 2) despite me switching the real-time web protection on, it is actually turned off (see image 1): Any suggestions or fixes? Or do we get a refund as the programme is not doing 100 percent of the job it is supposed to do? Just getting tired of the flaming balloon opening all the time.
