I was told that it was a known bug if you have Open Office (I think that is what it is called) on your computer and they give you an older version. But I also had Work space and that also caused the problems. If you have either of those delete them from your computer. Here's the email.

I went to run it and it asked for an update so I did it. But it didn't work. I went back and found One of the apps we talk about that I had not deleted. I cant remember if it was open office or workspace (I thought I had deleted it) so that is gone. Then I went back and installed the previous version. I'll get around to the beta version. Thanks for the help.

I just launched the app and it had an update which I installed and I'm having the same problem. It won't do anything. I'll have to dig out the email with the older version. I still have a problem with the version I was using. Found it. and now it's working fine. So there is some weird problem with my computer. Another update. I just found openoffice hiding so I deleted it. And go through the update again. Whew. sorry so confused

Well as of the other day, someone from MW bytes told me there was still a problem and gave me and early version. I didn't have it installed on my computer but I did have a document someone sent me. I did have Open Office installed and just went and deleted it since I rarely used it if ever. I'm sure I had the latest version. After I did that I remembered the last time I did a scan open office was on here and there were no problems so it could have been the workspace document. I guess I could reinstall open office but I really never used it.

Just found out there is a known problem with the version I had and workSpace or in my case open office. They had me install an older version.

Whenever I have run Scan for threats on my Macbook Pro, i immediately see see it scanning and the bar with programs it checks filling up. Total scan takes maybe 5 minuts max. It's been at least 15 minutes, nothing is showing in the progress bar, it just keeps spinning. Nothing has changed on my computer. The last time I ran it it did find something, I took care of. But that still only took maybe 5 minutes. What's up and what do I do? I see I put this in the wrong spot. If a mod wants to move it thanks.
