MBAM AUTOMATIC UPDATE -- Not Working??
darthsideous666 replied to OSCIVWAR's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
Mine seems to be working, at least it appears to be since it is checked. What would be nice is to have the option to set automatic updates more frequently, every hour, 2, 3, 4, etc. since the updates are rolled out pretty frequently! I find myself manually updating several times a day. -
I have this as well on my Desktop (only) XP. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.17 Database version: 865 9:09:10 PM 6/17/2008 mbam-log-6-17-2008 (21-08-58).txt Scan type: Quick Scan Objects scanned: 41991 Time elapsed: 2 minute(s), 9 second(s) Memory Processes Infected: 0 Memory Modules Infected: 0 Registry Keys Infected: 1 Registry Values Infected: 0 Registry Data Items Infected: 0 Folders Infected: 0 Files Infected: 0 Memory Processes Infected: (No malicious items detected) Memory Modules Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys Infected: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\mchInjDrv (Trojan.Agent) -> No action taken. I think it is obvious that someone is trying to "stir the pot" and create tension between the two developers and programs! The good thing is anyone that is familiar with both these programs and the people behind them will know that this is total "CRAP". I am willing to bet that Nick and his people at SAS have absolutely nothing to do with this or even know anything about it. ds

Just out of curiosity, why is it that the developer mode did not show this when I ran it? It is actually the second time that I ran a scan with it and this has occurred. ds

I am getting "Faked.Dropped.Malware" during my scans with MBAM paid. The problem is that neither Kaspersky or SAS Pro are alerting to it and when I ran MBAM in the Developer Mode it did not show up either, the scan was clean? I cannot find the path in regedit either. What do you think? Hi MaB, Thanks for the confirmation on this. ds

I am getting this on my machines after a scan. I am not seeing it though when I run the developer version for reporting, as that scan comes up clean? It is only appearing with my paid version scan, on 2 different machines. I am up to date, what gives?????? I am trying to figure that out, it certainly did not come from AGuardDog Suite though. I will remove it just the same. Thanks
