  1. I know it wasn't caused by having auto repair enabled but disabling it was the only way I could see what was causing the boot loop (mbamelam.sys).
  2. Ran into the same issue over the weekend. See my post here for how I fixed it...
  3. Over the weekend my dad ran into the same issue with a boot/repair loop like in this thread.... He brought me the machine to look at. I was able to go into command prompt from recovery and disable auto repair. That let me see what was causing windows to not boot. Same message as the op related to mbamelam.sys. I booted back into recovery and went to startup settings and disabled early anti-virus launch. This let me boot Win 11 in regular mode. I tried to open mbam and it wouldn't open. His was expired so I did a Revo uninstall, rebooted and then installed the latest version. All was well after that. BTW "enable self-protection early start" was off as it is on all my installs.
  4. Same! I expect this from Avast, AVG etc not MBAM! That is one of the many reasons I don't use those!
  5. just saw the thread below and shocked to see this is intentional for premium users!
  6. I'm a longtime user and have a lifetime license from a retail box purchase years ago. In the last two weeks on multiple occasions I've gotten popups related the privacy vpn. This comes from the taskbar, when I open the software I often get a screen about the browser plugin. Very annoying! Running 4.2.0....
  7. Getting these every minute or so if lastpass extension is enabled. I know I can set an exclusion but I shouldn't have to for a legit program/extension. -Log Details- Protection Event Date: 3/16/20 Protection Event Time: 8:56 AM Log File: 8d04ce08-6785-11ea-90de-9c5c8ebe93ae.json -Software Information- Version: 4.1.0.56 Components Version: 1.0.848 Update Package Version: 1.0.20818 License: Premium -System Information- OS: Windows 10 (Build 18362.720) CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: System -Blocked Website Details- Malicious Website: 1 , C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe, Blocked, -1, -1, 0.0.0 -Website Data- Category: Malware Domain: do-69.lastpass.com IP Address: 192.241.243.77 Port: 443 Type: Outbound File: C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
  8. Once Win 10 is installed once you never need to enter a key when doing a clean install! It's embed in the uefi. Just select "i don't have a key" if it prompts for one. It'll activate as soon as there is an internet connection.
  9. sames issue as these threads.... https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/255568-system-instability-after-last-malwarebytes-update/ https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/255758-disables-internet/
  10. I had been keeping both on and setting exclusions but since they now bill it as full a/v I stopped on my machine anyway. BTW I recognize you from technibble. Do you work for MBAM or just volunteer?
  11. Too much work to do to test/troubleshoot today! What I meant was MBAM now seems to disable it when you "register mbam in windows security". Do you not recommend that setting?
  12. No Avast. They use Bitdefender as well with all proper exclusions set. I only use MBAM and defender. Since v4 I let MBAM take over and disable defender. I noticed Avast listed in my FRST results and I have NEVER had Avast installed! My system was clean installed in June of 2019 and nothing but MBAM has been installed. I do have Ccleaner pro installed which is now owned by Avast so maybe that has something to do with it. Or perhaps when I installed Ccleaner after the clean install it bundled it. If so I would have promptly removed as I find it be the worst a/v out there!
