  1. Thought I'd update this thread, just installed 3.5.1.2522 and it worked without a hitch. The problem with installing while having a RAM disk appears to be fixed. Thank you
  2. MBAM 3.3.1.2183 still has the same problem. Just as a matter of interest other programs using the same version installer, (eg. DisplayFusion), have no trouble coping with a RAM drive. Also, someone else who has a RAM drive, ( ImDisk Virtual Disk Driver - same as me), and installed MBAM 3 reported that just redirecting TEMP back to default location didn't work, they had to disable the RAM drive before it would install, (necessitating restarts).
  3. Thank you! I have to wonder why nobody mentioned this in the last thread, I've been running TEMP in a RAM drive for more years than I can remember and I think this is the only program that has balked during install. Thanks again.
  4. So anyway, after running for the last year on v2 since my abortive attempt to install v3 way back here, I decided to give it another go and downloaded 3.2.2.2029 ... Same problem, fails to install: 2017-09-15 22:37:56.151 Log opened. (Time zone: UTC+10:00) 2017-09-15 22:37:56.151 Setup version: Inno Setup version 5.5.8 (u) 2017-09-15 22:37:56.151 Original Setup EXE: D:\Downloads\mb3-setup-consumer-3.2.2.2029.exe 2017-09-15 22:37:56.151 Setup command line: /SL5="$170EE2,67866746,119296,D:\Downloads\mb3-setup-consumer-3.2.2.2029.exe" /SPAWNWND=$300DC4 /NOTIFYWND=$200EBE 2017-09
  5. OK, after cleaning MBAM out of the system completely, tried to install it again, same result: Runtime Error (at 14:76) Could not call proc Attached is the setup log and the results from FRST x64, there is no service log as MBAM won't even install unless it's in Safe Mode which shouldn't be necessary to do. BTW, is there a download area for the last version of MBAM v2 so I can reinstall that? FRST.7z
  6. I had the same problem trying to delete MBAMWsc.exe after removing MBAM - it wouldn't let me delete because of permissions. Finally had to boot a Linux LiveCD and delete the file and directory.
  7. I can't, I had to force remove MBAM because not only wouldn't it install/update, it was causing the machine to slow down/stop responding, and it wouldn't uninstall cleanly. I'm now left with one file that doesn't want to be deleted (MBAMWsc.exe) no matter what I try, eg. Safe Mode, Takeown, SetACL. Last thing to try is delete it via a Linux OS. Until I get rid of it, MBAM won't be getting reinstalled.
  8. It wouldn't cleanly uninstall in a normally booted system or in Safe Mode, in the end I just told RevoUninstallerPro to force remove it while in Safe Mode and now I'm cleaning the remains of it out of the system.
  9. I am unable to install MBAM 3.0.x on my Win10 Pro machine except when I boot into Safe Mode. This also applies when doing updates to MBAM, it says update available, Download and Install, and then when it comes to install it fails with the same error. I can install 3.0.5.1299 under Safe Mode but as soon as I boot normally, the version changes to 3.0.0 and then says there are updates available. Same thing happens if I try to update in Safe Mode, it'll update to 3.0.5.1299 but as soon as I boot normally it's back to 3.0.0 2016-12-21 21:27:42.528 Log opened. (Time zone: UTC+11:00)
