  1. I had already done that. It changes from "current" to "checking" and then back to "current". Based on that, my conjecture is that I shouldn't see the problem the next time NiNite attempts to update Notepad++. Thanks!
  2. The application says everything is current and I don't see an explicit option for updating the database. Where might I look for this option? Thanks.
  3. The requested files are attached. Thanks. mb-check-results.zip Addition.txt FRST.txt
  4. I have to turn Malwarebytes OFF to update Notepad++ using NiNite. Why? See screen capture. You've also identified CCleaner as a trojan. Illogical!
  5. Updating: I have installed the 3.12 beta. All protection is now enabled, but the application reports that I am not protected because updates aren't current. Checking for updates does nothing other than display "checking" for less than a second.
  6. This damned problem is back again in 3.1.1.1722. Why are buggy updates repeatedly released? I'm getting really tired of having to uninstall and reinstall. A beta build temporarily fixed the problem, but a permanent fix is needed.
  7. It's not a scan; it's a service. After switching the indicator from "off" to "on", the display changes to "Starting" and never proceeds beyond that point. Uninstalling an reinstalling took care of the problem, but it's the second time I've had to do this with version 3 and it's annoying.
  8. It's looking more and more like MBB3 was rushed to production. I see this issue on all 3 machines I've installed the application on. Support's response is always the same: Run this application to remove the program and reinstall it. Really? I've gone through 2 iterations of this nonsense. If it happens again, I'm going to just give up on Malwarebytes. That's something I don't want to do because I've used and recommended it for many years.
  9. Every day Malwarebytes warns me about a PUM (software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\explorer|nodrives). Following some research, I believe that this is not a threat, but simply an instruction to Windows Explorer regarding which drives are shown. As such, each day I have ignored the message and checked the box that indicates this should be ignored in the future. Is my assessment (that this is not a legitimate threat) accurate? Thanks.
