  1. Hi ... My experience will likely be of no use. However it may not prove to be terribly negative for you. Environment. Windows 7 Professional, fully up to date. Malwarebytes V 4.1.0.56 / UpdV 1.0.25472 / Component V. 1.0.931 Malwarebytes scan reached scan startup items phase. Did not progress for 20+ minutes. Cancelled scan. Rebooted computer. Reran Malwarebytes scan. Ended normally satisfying usual performance measurements. Have a good Sunday.
  2. Okay. Is the process(es) that Ninite used to fully (with license intact and active) install 3.0.6.1469 @ 1.0.96 of interest in this regard?
  3. Thank you Devin. Any clue to as to what was/were the cause(s) of Mon petite contretemps?? N Time Rule, where N =2,3,4,5 is an unsatisfactory resolution for the even more unsatisfactory unknown pour moi (c'est la vie). Any interest for you or any other Malwarebytes techs in pursuit of nasty little cause(s)? If Becky's 3.0.6 exec to elevate => MB 3 to 1.0.96 I believe I would be able to reproduce the missing license key green check mark enigma. With traces, traps, snap shot dumps und so weiter.
  4. Okey Dokey!! After Hobbitually rutting* There and Back Again <3.0.6.1469 => 2.2.1.1043 => 3.0.6.1469 => 2.2.1.1043 => ... => 2.2.1.1043> I clicked on 'Ninite Updater' icon which had been insistently nagging to go There, MB 2 to MB 3, after having gone Back Again, MB 3 to MB 2 --- with the thought of 'Why not?'. Ninite did its thing and Et voilà MB scaled Everest to reach Malwarebytes Version: 3.0.6.1469 / Component package version: 1.0.96 / Update package version: 1.0.1648 with my license reestablished!! Before invoking Ninite I did NOT attempt to uninstall MB 2. Also did not directly use MB 3 install execs linked within the MB site. Did use whatever execs Ninite avails. And activate license procedure was superfluous because, as Athena born fully formed from the brow of Zeus, MB 3 was born fully licensed from the brow(?) of Ninite. Hypothesis: Another instance of the Three Time Rule or one of its many variations (N Time Rule where N is a relatively modest finite positive integer). Three Time Rule - If a process is fruitless then try it again. You most likely will have to execute the process three times before enjoying success. On occasion, in lieu of three attempts before joy springs into your heart and soul, you may have to essay a multiple of three attempts. On other occasions you may have to resort to the four, five, ... Time Rules, all of which aver gladful denouements. Iterations of the N Time Rule for very large N are largely unproven, though many have died trying. *Not that kind of rutting. Bilbo and I are not into that kind of rut.
  5. Persistence of inactive license under 3.0.6.1469 Component Package1096 Was able to activate my license for 3.0.6.1469 Component Package1050 Are there extant links to Malwarebytes install exec-s for 3.0.6.1469 Component Package1050 or - 3.0.6.1469 Component Package 1075 to test reestablishment of license at those component back levels?
  6. Orsino5580 how long between entry of ID/Key and ungreying of 'Activate License' ??
  7. Initially copy/pasted ID and key from a Word Doc not PDF. Last attempts manually typed in ID and Key.
  8. dcollins --- Key and ID required. Key is 4 groups of 4 characters (IE: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) as you stated. After entry of Key and ID a green check mark appeared adjacent to ID box. Green check mark adjacent to Key box did not appear. 'activate license' legend remained dull. Only choices avail for click selection were upgrade and cancel. In the course of trips from MB2 to MB3 and back again do not recall ever deactivating my license in MB2. Sometimes maybe or maybe not intrinsic? Before install of 3.0.6 CU4 was at Malwarebytes Version: 3.0.6.1469 || Component package version: 1.0.50 || Update package version: 1.0.1624 What does PM mean??
  9. Thanks for your help Phone Man. 1PW's 8 steps with generation of 4 files suggestion was and is overwhelmingly unappetizing pour moi.
  10. YES and ... after entry of Key and ID a green check mark appeared adjacent to ID box but 'activate license' legend remained dull. Only choices avail for click selection were upgrade and cancel ... and ... Key and ID from 2 to 3 . Before install of 3.0.6 CU4 was at Malwarebytes Version: 3.0.6.1469 Component package version: 1.0.50 Update package version: 1.0.1624
  11. Reinstalled MWB 2.2.1.1043 which recognized my Premium license. Is MWB 2.2.1.1043 the interim forever resolution to all problems MWB 3.0??
  12. Per Becky Dubrow's Weds 03/29/2017 @ 4:20 PM post - uninstalled MWB 3.0.6 and installed 3.0.6 CU4 via from this link Install OK but cannot activate my Premium license Help
  13. Reboot --- Exploit Protection off . Click 'On' for Exploit Protection => receive interminable 'starting ...' Click 'Off' for Web Protection => Exploit Protection quickly turns from 'starting' to 'On' Click 'On' for Web Protection => Web Protection quickly turns from 'Off' to 'On' ??: Cause and Effect?? Timing Coincidence?? Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 (Last Update: 03/29/2017) --- Dell Optiplex 9010 --- CPU: X64 Malwarebytes Version: 3.0.6.1469 Component package version: 1.0.50 Update package version: 1.0.1624
  14. Patience is a virtue(?). Katz also experienced the real time protection anomaly. Katz PC config: Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 (Last Update: 02/11/2017) --- Dell Optiplex 9010 --- CPU: X64 Malawarebytes 3.06.1469 (Last Update: 01/28/2017) After Shutdown Sleep/Standby MB real time protection would not enable. Upon Reboot/Restart MB real time protection was flagged but could be enabled. Several days ago the real time enigma evanesced. Why? I don't know why but I accept it on faith.
  15. Known problem. Katzenjammer : PC configuration: Windows 7 Professional and MB (Malwarebytes 3.0.6.1469) Recent (few days) experience: reboot PC and MB real-time web protection layers are off. Open MB shortcut icon. Click on Settings. Click on Protection. Click on Web Protection ...and quick activation from 'off' to 'on'. Shutdown Katzenjammer PC in Sleep / Standby mode and on reboot problem returns. Shutdown again in Restart mode and real-time web protection is again activateable. On this forum if you go to Activity => All Activity you will see a number of entries addressing our issue with MB, e.g. One or more real time protection layers are turned off". dcollins replied to lcrombie1's topic in Malwarebytes 3.0 Real time protection layers turned off in 3.0.6 dcollins replied to bitbight's topic in Malwarebytes 3.0 Malwarebytes technical support aver they are working to resolve the issue
  16. Update from 2.2.1.1043 Home Premium to Malwarebytes 3.0 failed using Ninite Updater auspices ... to wit: I'm in no hurry for resolutions. Happy with 2.2.1.1043. Particularly so after reading contretemps of users who persisted with 3.0 install and lost license, und so weiter. Dziękuję Ci
