  1. What is wrong with you? What's most important: a program that detects everything malicious, or a program that have a nice GUI? Malwarebytes has done the right thing, they're focusing on their high detection rate, low false-positive rate, and their cleaning. They are not some feminists who are trying to be top-rated in the look, they're some masculine people who tries to be the top-rated anti-malware program who detects the most malware, fewest false-positives and cleans everything smoothly.

  2. Hello!

First of all, I just have to say what an amazing software you guys have made! It's really, really good. :)

    My suggestions are:

    - New GUI. The one that is used now is kinda "old". It is very user-friendly, but still, I think it could use a refreshment.

    - Add an option whether you want an advanced GUI or a "normal" one.

    - Make and add a powerful diagnostic tool for in-depth analysis of the whole system.

    - Automatic update or an option where the user can choose if Malwarebytes should search for updates every 1 hour/2 hour/3 hour etc.

    - Reduce the amount of ram the real-time scanner is using. It need some improvements.

    Hopefully it helped.

  3. I'm just curious, but what kind of addition will you guys add in this version? Will it be a bug-fix release? Or will it be a "total new Malwarebytes"?

By the way, when will it be released? Before it was "usually" a new version each month, but now it hasn't been an update for like 3 months(4 months in 3 days).

  4. I'm currently running Windows 7 64-bit, with Threatfire and Eset Nod32 4.2.40.

The version of Malwarebytes' I'm using is 1.46(latest).

It's not a major problem. I can start the protection, etc, but I was just wondering what the whole problem was all about. I think I've got it 3 times before. All I want to do is to help you guys out, fixing errors that bothers me, and get answers.

  5. If you have some extra bucks ready to use, I would sugget you get Eset Smart Security or Eset Nod32. The difference is that Eset Smart Security has an inbuilt firewall, Eset Nod32 is just an antivirus suite. Eset Smart Security/Nod32 4.2 works perfect with Malwarebytes. I haven't had any problems with it. Eset has an incredible detection rate, and on testes, made by VBulletin(world famous software testers), Eset has won 61 VBulletin awards, more than any other competitor, which shows their great detection rate, their easy-to-use ability, and their 0 false-positive pop-up! I'm sorry if I'm advertising for Eset, but I just love them as much as I love you guys. Both Eset and Malwarebytes has saved my virtual machine all the time when I tested.

  6. Since I'm too lazy to create a new topic, I say it here.

I had an issue with the IP protection in version 1.44. When I should disable the IP protection from the icon, I had to right click and hit "disable IP Protection" multiple times. The issue is all gone now with the new version!

Thanks alot, Malwarebytes! You're the best!

  7. I just found out that it wasn't MBAM's foult. Pando Media Booster has been installed on my computer, remotely. Even Malwarebytes' doesn't detect it. I'm uninstalling it, but it reinstall itself all the time. I've tried to uncheck it at msconfig-startup, but it will just recheck itself. I have no chance to delete it. :)

I'm running a full scan now, in hope that mbam will detect it. Even Threatfire (behaviour blocker) didn't detect its behaviour. Strange. (PS: I'm too lazy to do the malware removal instruction thingy.. It's too much instructions, etc. I'm a bit lazy. Therefore, I'm not asking for help. Of course I would be glad if you could help me.. :) )

  8. Hello!

I reboted after installing the beta, I did uninstall it, and followed the instructions you gave me in the e-mail. Anyway, at the startup I experienced a sloooow startup. Is the Malwarebytes' the cause of that? (I realize that this is a beta, and I participated on my own risk, etc.) I managed to check the task manager and see how much of the ram and how much ram it was taking. It was up to 50 000 kB, but when it came back to normal, it falled down to 25 000 kB. The computer didn't respond at all for a while, and I had to wait for 2 minutes before any of the programs was opening. I had especially trouble with Mozilla Firefox. It wasn't responding for 4 minutes, at least.

My startup takes, normally, 40 seconds. I'm running Windows Seven 64-bit, with 4 GB ram and a 3,06 ghz processor. The startup shouldn't go for that long.

As I said before, I know this is a beta, and it will most likely be fixed in the official version. I liked the flashscann. It went well and smooth. I absolutely love the program. You are the best!

Thanks for giving me the chance to test the beta, really appreciated!

  9. Very, very nice website design! I really like it. It's much more user-friendlier than the previous version. This just shows us that you guys are dominating not only on detecting and removing malware, but also designing websites!

  10. Ibrad, you wrote:

"For 64 bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\zlib.dll

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.dll

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll

    C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref

    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys

    C:\Windows\SysWoW64\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys"

Do you know that x86 is the same as 32-bit?
