  1. I think I panicked prematurely. The internet was working fine again a couple hours later. I guess I'm a little paranoid at the moment.
  2. I don't believe this, but today the problems are back! I have not had more malware, scans are clean, but again with the DNS failures. ???

  5. Okay, so far, so good. Only one dns lookup failure and it could be my isp this time as they have a reported issue at present due to third party maintenance

  10. I checked that setting, and it was set to get the ip address automatically. I've since run a scan with roguekill and am attaching the report with this reply Rkill.txt Rkill.txt
  11. The internet is wireless broadband. Other devices work on the internet as long as the laptop that had the virus is not connected. I've run scans with Windows defender, again with malware bytes, rogue killer and tdss killer all scans are clear. I'm opening a ticket with my ISP as I have a feeling that this is an issue with the included VOIP service.
  12. Hi, I applied the fix, but still seem to have issues when the laptop is on the network. I even put inn a support ticket with my ISP about the issue in case there was a separate issue going on at their end. They did identify a problem with the router and reset it. However the problem is stl there whenever I put the laptop onto the network. I've tried three times now to attach the fixlog. txt file, but although I eventually got it to upload, now it won't attach to my reply. Fixlog.txt
