  1. I feel like I've been living with either fileless malware or paralyzed AVs for a year now. Similar symptoms on another machine on the same network. Driving me so crazy that I feel like I'm seeing it on all devices, regardless of platform whenever I'm at my house. I hope someone here can put this to rest. A part of me doesn't even think I'm posting on a real network by posting on this forum. But we'll give it a whirl (again). FRST.txt Addition.txt well.txt DxDiag.txt
  2. Ran SFC /SCANNOW and found corruption (successfully repaired) so for the sake of thoroughness I downloaded a fresh Win10 ISO and ran the DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:x:\sources\install.wim and the restore process completed successfully. Running SFC /SCANNOW a second time yielded "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations." Would you like me to start over with FRST? TIA
  3. Hey there advanced, thanks again. Sorry about the delay (holidays) but I have the day off today and will be flattening 2 machines on the network this is happening. Before making some install media, I would like to continue with this process if you don't mind. DISM reports no component store corruption detected.
  4. You hear it all the time I'm sure but I do appreciate your time. Between my post and yours I did a repair-install of Windows just in case of corruption. Since you weren't aware of that would you like me to DISM also before continuing on to the diagnosis?
  5. Edge currently doesn't work and I think I have some weird permissions issues going on. I appreciate any and all help in advance.
