  1. Great thanks for that info. I feel safe now.
  2. Hi I just started using the site app.tradersync.com on a trial period and I will possibly be purchasing a subscription. I'm concerned because I got the message below today after adding the browser guard to chrome. The strange thing is that last week kaspersky blocked it too and after emailing them they determined it was a false positive. If I purchase the program subscription from them I will be accessing the site every day. Should I be concerned about the site? Thanks
  3. Hi. I had all kinds of Windows 10 freezing issues in the past because of the ransomware protection being on. Once I turned it off Windows went back to normal. It took a great deal of time to get to the bottom of it. When the update was available and installed things went back to normal. Now after installing this new 2004 build last night many of the same issues came back. Programs freezing, chrome tabs freezing, outlook issues, task manager freezing windows freezing in general on both my desktop and laptop. I checked the beta version in both and they are the most current so I tu
  4. Thank you for this info. I started to do this today but the only thing I'm confused about is I've never had sync turned on. I just created a google account to follow a few things. So in the instructions since I don't have sync on would I turn it on and then follow the steps or is there something else I should do since I don't have it turned on? Thanks
  5. Hi. Is this something I should be concerned about? I had about 15 chrome tabs open, when 10 messages of this showed up, so I don't know what website this was referring to. I attached an image too. Thanks. 6. Hi, I've used Bandicam for years and today when I was updating my PAID program Malwarebytes blocked it and quarantined it. Is there something the company is doing now that's different that I need to be concerned about or is this a false positive? https://www.bandicam.com/free-screen-recorder/ Thanks
  7. Hi @tetonbob. I did the beta update on both machines and everything seems to be working great! Sorry I didn't realize I needed the beta update. It feels great to have the full protection again. Would you recommend staying in beta mode for other future updates?
  8. Hi @tetonbob. I've attached both logs. The first 8.8mb is from my desktop and the second 3.9mb from my laptop. Thanksmbst-grab-results.zip. mbst-grab-results.zip
  9. Thanks for the reply. I tried this on both my desktop and laptop after rebooting and experienced all the same issues as before with Chrome, Firefox, not being able to turn off the PC, freeaes etc. I went ahead and turned off the Ransomware again and everything is back to normal. I tried multiple times just to make sure with reboots and turning it back on and experienced all the same issues.
  10. Thanks for the update. I was able to update. Does this mean I can turn on the Ransomware Real-Time protection?
  11. Hi. Is there a way to see those attachments or what was in them? I would like to try on my 2 PCs as well. They show as unavailable. Thanks!
  12. LiquidTension wow you know I didn't reboot it. I turned it off every time and turned it back on. When I rebooted the main program update install I use to test worked after rebooting. Then I updated to Version 4 and followed the same procedure in testing with just turning it off vs rebooting and the same exact thing. I don't know if I will experience any other problems but I'm going to leave it in this state for a while with ransomware off in Version 4 and see how it goes. I'm just curious if you don't mind if you could tell me why it's different rebooting vs turning it off and on. I tried

  14. Thanks LiquidTension. I tried Method 2 and Method 3 below and even quit MalwareBytes with no success of my pcs running normal. It wasn't until I uninstalled MalwareBytes again that things went back to normal so I have a couple of follow up questions while waiting for tech support to hopefully find a solution from the reports they asked me to send. 1. Is there a way to stop Malwarebytes completely from running at Windows startup besides turning it off in the program? I have still found problems with this feature turned off as well as the Ransomware feature. 2. Is it still worth u
  15. This is all very interesting. It seems even if I went with Bitdefender and there happen to be no issues currently there is always a concern that there may be issues down the road with it too. Which then leaves it up to Bitdefender to work with MalwareBytes to resolve it. And I'm thinking that probably isn't realistic since I was reading on this forum that the end of last year there was also a bunch of issues with Bitdefender. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me this is MalwareBytes job to make their program work with others not the other way around. I may be naive in this thinking
  16. Does anyone recommend using Bitdefender Total Security vs Kaseprsky? Are there any know issues with Bitdefender and it more friendly with MalwareBytes?
  17. Thank you for that info MorpheusUK. I'm disappointed because I had hopes of being able to run both programs. I spent the last few days with issues with Kaspersky even trying to uninstall it to reinstall version 20 on fresh computer images from Macrium and I had nothing but problems. It didn't matter what I turned off in MalwareBytes. I even turned everything off and quit the program and still the same issues. I finally gave up and uninstalled MalwareBytes and everything was fine. Kaspersky uninstalled and reinstalled in seconds. Even though I would love to reinstall MalwareBytes I do hav
  18. Also, are there any other recommendations for Total Security Programs that work well with MalwareBytes? (Especially low impact on system performance) Thanks.
  19. Thank you for your thoughts. It's interesting that I've just read some results in testing that claim Kaseprsky Total Protection is much better than MalwareBytes in the anti-ransomware area so now I'm very confused. Is there any truth to this and if so why have MalwareBytes with all these issues. On the other hand I'm now considering going with another Total Security so that I can use MalwareBytes. A few people suggested BitDefender Total Security. Are there any known conflicts with MalwareBytes? Thanks.
  20. Thank you Porthos for those answers. I'm starting to wonder if I should switch to another Total Security Program. Does anyone have any recommendations who I could consider switching to that I wouldn't have these problems with MalwareBytes? Am I wrong in thinking I need to continue with MalwareBytes or is it not necessary with Kaspersky?
  21. I just read through all this and now understand why I've been having all the issues in the last few days after installing version 4. I have a few questions below hoping I can be advised how to proceed. 1. Since none of these issues happen with MalwareBytes version 3 is it better to stay with that? 2. Am I losing anything with version 3 vs version 4 as far as security? 3. Is it safer to keep version 3 vs using version 4 with malware protection off? (The main reason I started and continue to use MalwareBytes is to avoid being ransomed again like I was with Cryptowall) 4
  22. Hi, This is a descriptive post as I tried to include all the important info so it may help others too. I was going to open a new topic, but I thought it made more sense to continue here so it shows my history to make sure this isn’t a conflict with Kaspersky 2020 (which has been installed on both computers since Sept. 10.) Firstly, I’m running Windows 10 which I’ve been running for years and I’m certain it’s not a recent windows update since there were’nt installed on any of the computer images I used. Everything has been great with MalwareBytes since Sept 10 until I downlo
