  1. Thank you for the information. I did find the info, on exclusions. But, when I tried to install the exclusion in Avira Anti-virus. It is necessary to install the complete list in both, in system scanner and Real-Time scan, that's not my problem. The problem is that, my computer runs Windows 10, and I'm not sure whether computer is relatively new. About 8 months old, when I try to check my System Information, its says I'm running 64 bit, but in other places it will say 32-bit, should I just assume that is the lower 32-bit, as the best the system will do. Most Respectfully Terrye Murphy
  2. Please Help!! I have Windows 10, on my laptop. I did a little research on how to protect this laptop, after my previous laptop was infected by, ransomware. I purchased Avira Anti-Virus Pro with free VPN protection. I was under the impression, that this was all I needed. But, after doing more research.... I realized, I would need to have Malware protection also. So, I purchased Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. I began to experience problems shortly afterwards, (ex. could not connect to internet) After deleting and reinstalling Avira, with help from tech support, because Avira was giving me a message that (computer was no longer protected. (don't know why) the message went on to say that somehow the web protection was no longer able to turn on.) Avira, tech support advised me to delete Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. They told me it was redundant, and would cause conflicts, like the one I possibly was experiencing. (not sure, if true or not.) When I reviewed, How to run Malwarebytes along side another Anti Virus website, I found information about setting exclusions and was able to print the instructions. I set exclusions for Windows Defender, and Avira Anti-Virus, in Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program. When I tried to do the same for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, I was able to set all exclusions, as noted, except for the last one which was C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys which I know must be important. But I could not find it anywhere. I followed all the same techniques to set exclusions in both programs. Only had a problem with the one listed above. Please help ASAP, as currently only Avira is activated, Anti-Malware is deactivated, until I can finish setting the exclusion and keep both programs from interfering with each other. Most Respectfully, Terrye :-)
