I made some attempts, hoping to help you narrow down the problem, but not everything went as I had hoped.

Meanwhile I can give you almost for certain that the problem does not occur with the installation of version 3.9.32 but only after the first Reboot of the Mac after installation of MWB 3.9.32 (I've never had problems like this with any version of MWB (not even the beta that I've installed all since the first beta release at the time of macOS Sierra).

    My attempt corresponded to:
    1) Clean installation of Malwarebytes 3.9.32
    2) Running MBST-Mac
    3) Debug-ON execution
    4) Enter Debug-OFF as the only app in the login elements
    So far, so good

    5) Reboot of the Mac
    6) At startup, the Mac tried to run Debug-OFF automatically, but as soon as it clicked on the application button, the rainbow circular cursor came up, not even allowing you to enter the password.

At this point I could only
    7) Reboot in Mac Safe-Mode
    8) Run Uninstal_MWB
    9) Reboot in Normal Mode of the Mac and then post it all

    I'm sorry I couldn't do more

    My system is
MacBook Pro 13 "Mid 2012 Non Retina Display (MacBookPro 9.2)
10 Gb Ram (installed since purchase)
KINGSTON SA400S37240G with trim enabled obviously APFS
macOS Mojave 10.14.6 with the last additional update released last night.

    Bye

  2. @adas @treed

After a few hours when everything worked fine, I foolishly thought of restarting the Mac, and I even inserted a pendrive to make me a copy of the new Malwarebytes installer.
I never did that again. Everything went on the ball again and there was no solution, even after numerous forced shutdowns and / or reboot in safe-mode.
Now I write from the safe-mode and I will, while waiting for a solution, since I was not able to complete the DEBUG MODE for you, to uninstall the latest version and to install version 3.8.17.
Let me know when you will be led.

I HOPE SOMEONE SAYS TO HELP YOU BETTER THAN ME

    Thanks and good job
    Greetings

  3. I tried to upgrade in-app.
Malwarebytes immediately started in the usual way.
I tried to restart the machine and immediately after the login (using filevault) the Spinning Wait Cursor appeared. It was then started but the Mac was no longer usable (with every attempt to click something the Spinning Wait Cursor appeared until no more use was allowed) even after several forced restarts by holding down the power button.
I solved by starting in safe mode, using the UninstallMWB app, restarting normally and reinstalling version 3.8.17

My Mac is a MacBook Pro Mid 2012 with 10 Gb Ram (8 + 2) and SSD Kingston, running Mojave 10.14.6

I had never had such problems with any previous version.

I point out the problem also to @treed

The problem also exists when doing a clean installation of Malwarebytes

    Please solve this problem

    Thanks

    Greetings

  4. As promised, I also performed the custom scan, with all the possible options selected, in manual mode.

A file has been detected as generic malware, belonging to a program so far never detected: Privazer. Here to download the software in question for further tests (the donor version has additional functions that cannot be selected in the free version - a minimum donation is sufficient for the complete version). There is a portable version of the software that may not use the same file.

I discovered today that the site is blocked by the MWB Firefox extension due to reputation. I attach screenshot

    I enclose a FPTracker report

I suggest you uninstall and reinstall cleanly. and rescan and see if the detection's are still clear.

    @Porthos

As you suggested I removed Malwarebytes completely, later I removed any folders left that contained caches, I performed disk cleanup.
    I rebooted the system.
I reinstalled Malwarebytes 4 Beta. I configured it as usual.
I have only performed manual threat scanning for the time being.
As soon as I can I will perform all the other types of scans as previously done
I am attaching reports and screenshots of the scan end screen.
As you can see 0 threats.
    A greeting

  6. Installed Malwarebytes 4 Beta this morning, without any problems, directly without uninstalling version 3

My PC is a Dell Vostro 3558 with Intel i3 CPU, 8GB Ram, 230 GB Samsung 840 SSD

Operating System: Windows 10 LTSC 2019 modified, updated to build 17763.615

They are installed: all the necessary drivers, Firefox (with Malwarebytes extension), Microsoft Word and Excel 2016, Adobe Reader, Privazer, Startisback (to have the Windows 7 menu), Canon and Dell Software

I performed a manual and a scheduled threat scan, a custom manual scan and a scheduled one.

No threat has ever been detected in any of the 4 scans.

The duration of manual scans is almost the same as that of MWB 3.

The duration of planned scans is significantly longer. In MWB 3, unlike now, they lasted in fact roughly like the manual ones.

Very eye-catching the graphics even if it still needs some tweaking.

  7. A malwarebytes license is valid for one machine only but the second license if bought together costs much less.

For one machine it costs $ 39,99 for one year and for two machine it costs $ 49,99 for one year with automatic renewal year by year (but in any case deactivated on request) at the end of the first purchase. for more information on prices. The two-year purchase brings an additional discount

Malwarebytes cleans from malware and if pop-ups are caused by them they should disappear.

For starters to try it out initially you can download Malwarebytes for free: in fact, for manual scanning it is free; the premium version adds scheduled scans and real-time protection.

In addition there are extensions for Firefox & Chrome currently in free beta

    Malwarebytes for macOS download

Browser extensions can be downloaded from the respective stores

I hope I was helpful for you.

  8. Thank you very much @mbam_mtbr. With the suggestions of your link it seems that the problems have finally been solved.

The manual scan, even with the screen left on standby, lasts only about 5 minutes again.

Safe browsing is no longer deactivated.

The INTENSE CONSUME reminder is no longer displayed, even though Malwarebytes remains the most energy-intensive application.

If someone could serve, in reference to the link you posted above, on EMUI 8.0.0 (Android 8.0 for Huawei - specifically the P8 Lite 2017) the screen to change, with the settings you can see so that Malwarebytes works properly, it is the following which I am attaching

    Malwarebytes_Batteria_EMUI8.0.thumb.jpeg.1c4d2bf2c55a13371f6846ee923a98b0.jpeg

  9. The problem has existed for months now (with short breaks) and occurs, with that relating to the duration of manual scans if the smartphone is in stand-by that I mentioned  in this discussion  on the forum starting from 03/27/2019, in 90% of cases in which I open Malwarebytes on Android.

Smartphone Huawei P8 Lite 2017, Android with EMUI 8.0, Security Patch of January 2019 (were not released later), Malwarebytes Premium always updated to the latest version available on the PlayStore.

Thanks to anyone who wants to take charge of the problem and solve it.

Attach a screenshot of this morning

    Malwarebytes.thumb.jpg.4f5aeb365716211489eb9ea50b6f680a.jpg

It is necessary to re-enable it practically every time and therefore you never have the security that it is active

    Good-bye

  10. In fact the percentage goes up a lot; from 0.2% to 30% in the first attempt, to 48% in the second, to 55% in the third during the tests with manual scans one after the other; then return to the end of each scan at 0.2%.
However, since the scan lasts about 10 seconds, I must say that this is not a particular concern for me at the moment.

The fan never run. I only had Activity Monitor and Malwarebytes open in addition to system processes.

  11. The exact same thing happens to my father on a Huawei P8 Lite 2017.
    The problem is not new.

Already a few months ago I had signaled it together with an anomalous consumption and an exaggerated duration of the scans with the screen in stand-by.

They came back a little over a month ago (everything except the abnormal consumption)

and after having resolved for a couple of weeks it is now again two weeks that the two problems are present.

The only problem that at the moment has not been repeated is the abnormal consumption

I thank anyone who can help solve the problem

    Greetings

Be aware that it can only enumerate files it can see, and on modern versions of macOS, there will be folders it's not allowed to look inside unless you give it Full Disk Access in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy.

Assuming a user wants to use this application how safe is it to give it full access to the disk?
    Thank you
