  1. UPDATE: This appears to be a clash between WIndows Defender and Malwarebytes Real-Time Protections. I was able to get both running again by first shutting off RTP on Defender then restarting it on Malwarebytes. I then got a message from Windows Defender: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/instantanswers/17d8b954-2ccc-a038-1424-537cb3835015/scan-an-item-with-windows-defender After a couple of more attempts to turn RTP (for Windows Defender) back on, I am now able to have it available on both programs. This is just my recent experience. I have no idea what is going on behind the scenes, but this has worked for me. I haven't tested a reboot as both are working normally as of now.
  2. Same problem, started 2 days ago on my laptop and just noticed today on my Desktop upon reboot. App gives warning that Real-time Protection is off and when I try to turn it on it stays in the "Starting" position
  3. Thanks for the explanation. I did notice the (automatic) temporary settings change after reboot, but went back to default settings to test... Temp fix did work as described. Will patiently wait for a permanent fix. Thanks again!
  4. Same - Problem still exists, unless I disable the ROP and malicious return address protections in MBAE's advanced settings
  5. PS Thanks! The workaround seems to have worked, however now I feel slightly unprotected. Is it possible to let us know when an update/fix is completed so that I can go back to default settings? Thanks again
  6. Hi Maurice, It says Emerald Build 1609.103 Configuration File 3222288. I've checked for updates within the app and it states that it is the latest version. I went to the site and downloaded a fresh file, performed an update installation and it is the exact same version. I've also reported the conflict directly to IBM support. The site states that they are fully compatible with MBAM, but doesn't mention MBAE. Thanks for the workaround, i'll try it. Funny that it only impacts Edge and not Chrome, although Edge never shows the Rapport Icon in the browser, whereas Chrome shows it as an extension. Thanks for your help, hope that this gets resolved soon.
  7. Eureeka!!! After shutting down IBM Trusteer Rapport on my desktop, no more "Exploit ROP gadget attack blocked" message from MBAE. Sorry for the long dialogue, but maybe this can help others who, like me, was very surprised and concerned about the message that I received from MBAE this morning.
  8. Interesting find... Forgot that I was also using IBM Trusteer Rapport on my desktop (problem reported above). When I use my laptop, running Windows 10 Pro (latest update) along with Defender and MBAM Free WITHOUT Trusteer Rapport, there is no problem with MBAE and MS Edge... Hmmm.... Both PC's are running MBAE Version 1.09.1.1235
  9. Same problem with MBAE using MS Edge Win10 Home (latest update). Using Windows Defender and MBAM Free as AV programs. Problem just started today after reboot. Chrome works fine with MBAE Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit.zip
