  1. It looks like downloading is having a problem, so let's try this manually. Please download and run the latest Malwarebytes installer. Then see if your performance improves. If not, please use the Support Tool mentioned above to Gather Logs
  2. Hmm.... those logs still show the registry blocks in place. Let's try this: Download Autoruns Right click on Autoruns and choose Run as Administrator Click on the Image Hijacks tab along the top Uncheck everything in here unless you specifically added it Once done, reboot the computer Try to install Malwarebytes again, and if that still doesn't work, grab a new set of logs again.
  3. Please see the first reply above from the bot that shows how to gather logs, and attach those logs in your reply. This should give us an idea of what's going on.
  4. @TheThornWithin I apologize for missing your post and not responding sooner. I frequent the forums but unfortunately completely overlooked your question and didn't see this thread until it was bumped by @Aura. It was not my intention to ignore you. Some context here, is that we have been tracking this for a little while but it wasn't until recently we were able to see exactly what was going on. The bug was very difficult to reproduce in the past and on Thursday is when someone provided reproduction steps so we could effectively troubleshoot this bug. We are working on a few different solutions and trying to find the best one, which is why we haven't released any updates yet.
  5. This is a known issue we are working on resolving, no ETA yet
  6. Sorry, forgot to attach it. It is now attached back in the original post
  7. Oh sorry, I meant Advanced Systemcare, not AVG (too many A names). But yes, it looks like files are still left behind. This batch file should be able to clean it up. Download and extract the attached zip file Right click on cleanup.bat and choose Run as Administrator Once the batch file completes, reboot There may be some errors, you can ignore them After rebooting, try re-installing Malwarebytes again and see if it works If it doesn't, please get a new set of logs and upload them cleanup.zip
  8. Thanks for this report. @plb4333 recommended removing Avast because it seems one of their recent updates started causing blue screen issues when installed alongside Malwarebytes. If possible, can you try removing Avast just temporarily to see if that solves the issue for you? If it does, then re-install the latest version of Avast, as this has worked for most of the people we've talked to with this issue.
  9. AVG Tuneup looks to be trying to disable the Malwarebytes service everytime it's ran. You can see this in the FRST section below. I've only called out the Malwarebytes files, but it looks like it's doing this to a lot of software on your machine. Can you try uninstalling the AVG PC TuneUp software and see if that helps at all? If not, please get a new log after removing that so we can take a look at what else may be left behind. 10. If you're trying to download a file and you get multiple tabs that open up to other files, then yes, it's a bug in our extension we're fixing. But if you're getting a block on one specific file when you try to download it, it could be a malicious file. The URL's your provided don't really help, but a screenshot of what you're seeing could.
  11. Does this only happen after you open the browser and then attempt to download a file? We are working on a fix for that issue right now.
  12. We actually block all *.info sites as it's a highly trafficked domain for malicious activity. That's why you're seeing that block on that specific page. The main site is davebrat.com, but it's trying to load a website from trailblz.info. Again, this one isn't part of a clickbait detection, it's simply based on the fact it's from a .info site. We'll look into this to see about whitelisting that specific site.
  13. Currently those messages can't be disabled, but we are working on some improvements for our notification control that should help control when these are displayed so they don't interrupt fullscreen activities.
  14. Did you create a ticket like I mentioned above?
  15. Thanks for the feedback. Based on the symptoms you provided, this really does not sound like a Malwarebytes issue. Our free product never starts the driver needed for Web Protection which is the only product that would cause what you're seeing, so it really seems like something else is going on with these machines. If you are able to reproduce this with Malwarebytes, please let me know. As for the autoit scripts, do you have any detection reports where they get picked up?
  16. Yeah that's very strange, especially if shutting down Malwarebytes doesn't resolve the issue after it's experienced. I'll keep trying to repro, and let me know if you find a more reliable way because this definitely shouldn't be happening
  17. Hmm... the logs don't show us blocking anything, and our Web Protection module is not running so it's very hard to understand if this is us. I was unable to reproduce this, so let's try a few things if you don't mind: Can you try a different browser by chance, just to check? If you shutdown Malwarebytes when this issue is happening, does the issue go away? Can you describe exactly what you're doing to repro this? I setup my machine to use OpenDNS, have MB3 in free mode, and then I rebooted. I was able to open webpages without issue in Chrome. We also do not block adit-hd.com, so that's even more strange. Do other sites have the same issue?
  18. Thanks, is there any specific Real-Time Protection module that you can disable that allows the camera to work? Or when it was working, do you know which specific module caused the camera to stop working?
  19. Malwarebytes Free should not be blocking any websites. Do you have a screenshot of Malwarebytes blocking the webpage? Can you also provide the logs mentioned above?
  20. Unless pages aren't getting blocked, there's nothing left to investigate at the moment
  21. It looks like you're a little out of date. Let's start by getting the latest version installed, which has a fix for a known Blue Screen. If you can get the computer to boot, you can simply install the latest version from https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3 over top of your existing installation. If the computer doesn't boot, first go to Safe Mode and uninstall Malwarebytes. Then reboot back to normal mode and install the latest version.
  22. Yes, as I mentioned this happens because of a feature in your browser. You are still protected.
  23. We removed the block on iqoption.com yesterday, which is why you're not seeing the block any longer. At this point, based on everything we've looked at, the product looks to be working correctly and is blocking websites as it should be
  24. We ping exclusions because Malwarebytes blocks both on the IP and the domain name of a site. For example, let's say we have a block on 52.21.84.70, which is the IP address for iptest.malwarebytes.com, and we also block the domain name. If you go to the site, you'll get a note that the site is blocked and have the option to exclude it. However it will exclude iptest.malwarebytes.com, and not the IP address. To help reduce confusion and make it so you only have to exclude on item instead of both, we occasionally do a DNS lookup for the IP address of any excluded domain so we can exclude that as well. This feature cannot be disabled.
  25. The consumer version of Malwarebytes 3 does not support this. You would need to use our business product available at https://www.malwarebytes.com/business/ for email like that.
