  1. no it was clean ran right past the spots it stuck on before the chkdsk fixed all the things that were hanging the mbam scan up
  2. OMG this was so helpful! after i did the checkdsk, the malware ran perfectly! the computer now seems almost back to normal, crossing my fingers when i say this, will have to see if it behaves over the next few days to be sure, but hopefully i am out of the woods. You guys are AWESOME! X 5
  3. here is the fresh set of logs Addition.txt CheckResults.txt FRST.txt
  4. yeah i know but since the threat scan stops and doesnt run - i thought i would try this
  5. ok i also attempted to run it in the custom scan, unchecked the box for scan memory, but checked box for scan rootkit, running in safe mode. so far its still progressing - its scanned 260,xxx items with elapsed time of 5 hours 28 minutes identified 6 objects and is still running.
  6. ok it installed i ran it and it hangs up at the same spot as before it gets as far as the SCAN MEMORY - MEMORY OBJECTS objects scanned 14 and it just stops moving forward the little circle above scan memory shows it going round and round but it never advances
  7. i removed the item from the task manager did a clean removal and am attempting a reinstall it says its installing but its been about 30 minutes now
  8. i don't see anything else trying to run MBAM, could you give me an example? I did just install the software on 9/22 but I will remove it and reinstall it.
  9. ok we ran the tools you suggested and here are the results. please let me know what to do next. thanks CheckResults.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  10. Can't run Malware Bytes. Ran mbam-check.exe, ran DDS.COM, attached results from those scans. (Hangs on memory object 14) Attach.txt CheckResults.txt DDS.txt
