  1. Thanks, I saved-as all the .txt to the desktop to keep them accounted for. My computer has been running fine since I used Malwarebytes so now all I'm wondering is if I should uninstall all of those different bug programs that you requested. You said I should remove it but then told me to download more programs instead of removing existing ones. So are any worth keeping or should I go to 'change or remove a program' in control centre and remove them all?
  2. I hope that's everything you wanted. Addition.txt AdwCleaner[C0].txt AdwCleaner[S0].txt FRST.txt JRT.txt SophosVirusRemovalTool.txt
  3. From the instructions, I take it that I post the results of step 4 and wait for a response before starting step 5. Correct me if I'm wrong. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Junkware Removal Tool (JRT) by Malwarebytes Version: 8.0.7 (07.03.2016) Operating System: Windows 10 Home x64 Ran by dren (Administrator) on Thu 01/09/2016 at 11:08:54.43 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ File System: 0 Registry: 3 Successfully deleted: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{0633EE93-D776-472f-A0FF-E1416B8B2E3A} (Registry Key) Successfully repaired: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\\APPINIT_DLLs (Registry Value) Successfully repaired: HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\\APPINIT_DLLs (Registry Value) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Scan was completed on Thu 01/09/2016 at 11:11:23.34 End of JRT log ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  4. It hasn't returned since I removed it. This is great but I was wondering if I should leave this program installed, once the free trial ends in 10 days. Will it still be helpful?
  5. Thanks. Since installing Malwarebytes I have not seen Search Protect appear as a tray icon, thanks to the quarantine feature. It usually takes about 24 hours for the program to return, so I will wait until then.
  6. Search Protect comes back every time i try to remove it. My computer came with McAfee and every time it comes back McAfee tells me. I click Remove which brings up a new window. I get this popup window and click ok, which doesn't appear to do anything. I go to Window Task Manager and 'End Task' on these 3 processes. I go to C:\Program Files (x86) and shift-delete 'Search Protect' I was following a YouTube tutorial, but the Regedit location it guides me to does not contain the folder it describes. This may be the reason it keeps coming back. I downloaded Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Home free trial. and it discovered a file that had previously gone unnoticed. I was anxious to just click 'delete all' but the guide told me 'Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.'. Is it safe to simply click delete all without downloading this extra software? Thanks in advance.
