  1. I recently bought a Chinese-manufactured tablet, an imitation of the Samsung S2. The machine is pretty and runs well but upon installing Malwarebytes, a scan identified two of the system files as malware. The HTML viewer was identified as trojan.sivu.c and the Update Provider was identified as PUP.riskware.autoins.fota. Malwarebytes can't delete these files and i can't find them in the Android directory where Malwarebytes says they exist. Any advice about the nature of these files and how to make them safe will be much appreciated.
  2. Running mb_clean and reinstalling version 3.3.1.2183 seems to have worked for me. Web Protection has now been running for several hours.
  3. Oops! Web protection stopped running. I'll need to create a bootable flash drive to run an anti-virus app after running Rkill, I guess. Oops!
  4. Closing Malwarebytes and then restarting the MBAM Service worked for me. I couldn't run FRST because Norton keeps removing it. I'm on a hotel network so I'm reluctant to turn off Norton.
  5. Had the same problem on startup today. Norton identifies FRST as malicious so can't download it.
  6. Yeah. MBAE is not working on any of my computers running the Win 10 anniversary update. Any fix will be appreciated.
