  1. Nathan I replied a few days ago to your post at 14 but it does not seem to have appeared. You said you would look into my logs and get back to me but you have not done so. I repeat: I confirm that I followed all the steps you list, except that I have not been able to check 'if the file its trying to restore doesn't already exist somehow' because I have no idea which file is involved. As I said above, the software does not report the file names in readable fashion. Meanwhile it has become clear that beta 2 prevents my Macafee from operating effectively because it removes essential processes as false positives. I have removed the beta until you can assure me this has been fixed. I'm uploading the other files you asked for in a separate post in case they are the reason my previous post did not go through.
  2. I have downloaded and installed Beta 2. I still can't restore the Macafee files. I attach the logs requested above. MBAMService.zip
  3. Same problem: MacAfee appears to be giving a false positive, i can't restore the quarantined files.
  4. ... because I can't see the filenames I can't follow the directions for reporting a false positive, I have no idea which files to send you.
  5. I had three files reported as ransomware. The initial on-screen reports and the report under 'Quarantine' both severely abbreviate the names of the files concerned, making it hard to find the files on my hard disk or check whether they are false positives or malware concealing itself under names similar to legitimate software. I find no way to get the full names to display. I'm trying to give a screenshot but I keep getting a message that I'm not allowed to use that image extension in this community. I find nothing to explain this in the help files.
