  1. SO glad for the users who posted about this issue - it shed some light on what was going on with my pc. I have had this issue with Malwarebytes twice before, albeit on a lesser scale; at least I had the experience to know it was again the fault of MB and not a spyware situation, so there's that. I now have full use of my drive again - I ultimately uninstalled MB entirely - every other option to disable was met with popups concluding that it was a task which could not be executed (three separate alternate attempts). Even uninstallation was buggy and slow. Having elucidated all of this, I will be thinking twice before repurchasing a product from Malwarebytes (sorry guys). I've been a client for years, and even reluctantly uninstalled additional protection from other companies when MB updated and couldn't function with them concurrently - I chose you those times, and it was a hard choice each time. I wish I could rely on your company, because it does take a toll on me to re-decide and reconfigure. It is with reluctance that I have to say I don't know what you could do to regain my trust at this time.
  2. I may have solved the problem, thanks. I would delete/edit my original post, but I see I'm unable authoritatively until I've passed the 50 post mark. I have found and downloaded the 3.2 version which appears, at least currently, to have solved my issues. I'll keep an eye on it. Please ignore my request for help at this time, thanks.   3. I also am finding that Malware Protection cannot be switched to on, it displays, "starting.." and never does. Here is my data, let me know what else I can provide for your assistance, thanks. Last file added, mb-check-results 2 is after I ran through your above steps 1-7, enabling log data. Not able at any time to switch on Malware Protection still, though.   4. I have the Premium version, and am now seeing that it gets no further than "Prescan Operations". It can go 16 hours, and never gets past this. How can I fix this?
