  1. Same here, I am also on V2 and no RAM issues only the blocking
  2. V09 not working here either. I've not had any RAM issue like others have reported maybe it's because I'm still on v2
  3. I spoke too soon I'm afraid. I opened a second tab and it seemed okay (Firefox) but when I closed it down and restarted FF the same problem was back, so V05 isn't working
  4. Getting the same here, it seems to blocking everything even eff.org, macafee and Disconnect. Using malwarebytes v2.2.1.1043 with todays database v04
  5. Right, I've found how to do it. Remove self protection and reboot I don't think stopping the services did anything as they were running when I rebooted, so the above two steps seems to do the trick
  6. Just to sum up: 1/ Removed self protection 2/ Quit MBAM from system tray 3/ Stopped MBAM service in Services which is still running Still get the same error
  7. Very strange that doesn't work either. I did check in Services and found that the MBAM service was still running even after quitting from the system tray. I stopped the service but still couldn't delete the file. Anyway, no worries I'll use the system image. Thanks for your help though
  8. I'm in UK and it's getting late here, so I'll look at this further tomorrow night. If the worst comes to the worst I'll restore last weekend's system image (I take one each week) and pull the network cable so it can't connect and download it again before I've turned the check option off again
  9. Nope that doesn't work. I also tried stopping MBAM starting with Windows and it still won't let me delete it. I think something must be addressing it from somewhere hence the file lock
  10. Thanks for the reply but it won't let me delete it even though I'm logged in as an administrator. I'd imagine it's because there's either an event or something in the registry that keeps trying to trigger it. EDIT: I also tried quitting from MBAM in case it was that
  11. I've had the same problems as reported it this thread so rolled back to v2.2.1 until it's finally fixed. I have noticed tonight though that I'm now getting a nag screen asking me to update (I assume that's to v3) which is not something I want to do until this issue is remediated. Can this auto update reminder be switched off please (I have switched off "check for program updates" in settings but it keeps happening. As there are still problems for a number of us it seems rather premature to keep nagging us to upgrade to something that isn't working correctly yet
  12. I'm having problems since upgrading to version 3.06 with intermittent failures in some of the protection starting up. Initially I just tried an upgrade which caused problems with Web Protection not starting so I followed the instructions and removed MBAM completely using the cleaning file, then reinstalled but I'm still getting these errors from time to time. Tried the early start but that didn't seem to help so turned it off again. I've attached the log and some screenshots so you can see what's happening. I have to say that I don't feel particularly safe with this version so I may well go back to v2 and the separate anti exploit as I have the system image I took before I upgraded. MBAMSERVICE.zip
  13. I'm getting the same here, it seems to happen when I try to update MSE. Seems odd that MBAM needs to block AV updates
  14. The above question is rather academic now as I've removed System Mechanic and replaced it with CCleaner which is much better, but I am curious as to why System Mechanic is considered a PUP
  15. Thank you for your response but I don't quite understand how it's classified as a PUP. System Mechanic is a program paid for by subscription, not a piece of adware bundled with dodgy freeware. I'm not questioning that it's a valid detection but "why" it is. I've used it for some while now and it has been very useful for system maintenance but if it is dangerous I'll remove it immediately. Many thanks
  16. I got the following report this evening after malwarebytes autoscanned after booting PUP.Optional.IoloSC, HKU\S-1-5-21-1670381165-2277342764-3273756976-1000\SOFTWARE\IOLO\System Mechanic, , [d4bed80a6832c5717efc6f2f4eb2946c], System Mechanic is a valid program afaik which I've used for a long time from Iolo Labs so I'm not sure what to do at present I've attached the log malwarebytes.txt
  17. I have been using this program for quite a while and suddenly it has been marked a threat by malwarebyte when I tried running it this evening. For background it is used to clean up skyrim game saves by removing old scripts from mods that have been removed and analyse the save to keep staistics on instances, references etc. It is published on www.nexusmods.com which is an established and respectable site I checked on VirusTotal and only Malwarebytes has flagged it as dangerous. I've attached the log, the file in question (pdtwrapper.zip) and a copy of the orginal full rar achive with all the files malwarebytes_log.txt PDTWrapper.zip Papyrus Data Transfer GUI v1_2-53045-1-2.rar
