  1. For me as well Thank you for the links! Take care
  2. It worked! Thank you so much I have gained around 60 GB of space on my c partition... I am virus free and ummm... I don't know how to say this but... I also cleaned my CPU fan and that fixed the CPU problem when it restarted after freeing the space it said "CPU overheating" and that gave a hint. I can watch HD videos now! And download them too, since I have the space. Thank you very much!
  3. It is almost exclusively Chrome when I use it to watch videos...
  4. oh, ok! I see. Do we do the cleanup now? Well the CPU problem is still there, maybe it is not related to the C: partition being full. Or maybe that changes once windows.old is deleted. I literally have no idea what we are talking about, and I am very grateful for your help.
  5. Ops, I deleted some of the files already. I think the others were deleted by your program, but not the old windows? Here are the text files... but the fix text disappeared, is that right? Fixlog.txt
  6. Thank you! I didn't quite catch how to remove the Windows.old folder 56.4 GB, should I just delete it, should I run the WinDirStat Scan and then delete it, or should I deinstall it, or should I do the FRST thing first and that somehow removes the folder? Runnning the ESET Scan again to remove the entries it found. Thanks!
  7. sorry forgot the attachment and didn't know how to edit my post. ESET log.txt
  8. I ran the ESET thing according to your orders. It found 8 threats! I didn't remove them. Here is the log file (attached).
  9. Hello everyone, thank you for re-opening the topic. I was afk for a while due to family issues. I ran the WinDirStat Scan, not sure how to proceed (see file). I will run the other two programs in an hour, when I'm back. Thanks so far!
  10. Thanks for this confirmation and for the link! I can only access my PC again on Tuesday, but when I tried this morning, the CPU problem persisted, any video I try to watch is still lagging heavily. It's probably not the internet connection, or could the internet connection be bad enough for the CPU to go up to 100% when I go online? Did you see anything in my file logs that could have been a keylogger?
  11. Thank you very much again for your time Here are those two additional reports. Rogue report for Kevin.txt FRST second run to Kevin.txt
  12. The CPU problem persists (still 100% and lagging with HD), while the C: Partition is now 12 GB of 160 free (before I downloaded all those programs and ran the scans, it was 9GB). Is there any way I can see what makes up thos 148 GB on my C: partition? Thank you again very much for your reply!
  13. Hello Kevin, thank you so much. I only understood about a third of what you said, but I am doing my best to follow your instructions meticulously. - WinSpeed is deleted - fixlog.txt attached - malware log: - AdwCleaner: - Jrt - malicious software removal tool AdwCleanerC1SCAN FOR KEVIN2.txt malwarescanlog_for_kevin.txt JRTtokevin3.txt mrt for kevin 4.txt Fixlog.txt
  14. Hello everyone, I have a few computer problems that I hope you can help me with: - Have a gaming PC (or so I am told) with high-end parts, but can't even watch HD - Don't do gaming or anything that would take up space, but my C: partition is full (9 GB of 160 GB free) - CPU usage goes up to 100%, PC lags horribly as soon as I open YouTube or anything like that. I once downloaded something that came with malware, winSpeed.dll by publisher 24soft. I could not remove it through Uninstall, so I downloaded Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and ran a Scan, which seems to have removed WinSpeed from the list of programs. However, problems persist. I have attached the required log data. I would be so grateful for any hints! I also have a few questions: - I made a backup a week ago. That took up 9 DVDs. I guess I can trash that if indeed I have a virus? - Could they have installed a key logger? Is there any way to find out? Do they have access to my accounts (including bank accounts?)? Is there any way to protect myself? Thank you very much in advance! CheckResults.txt frst scan Addition.txt FRST Scan results.txt malware scan results.txt mbam CheckResults.txt
