  3. Hello TwinHeadedEagle, Thank you for your help. I have followed your instructions. Please find Fixlog.txt attached. I did notice the LavasoftTcpService ( C:\WINDOWS\system32\LavasoftTcpService64.dll) running and thought that it was a bit odd as I had deleted the Lavasoft software from my computer a while ago. Should I stop this service and remove the associated files? I would have to do this manually as it is not listed in the Windows Uninstall utility. Regards, John Fixlog.txt
  4. Hello, I downloaded and installed Malwarebytes today. Upon running the program, it is stuck on "Checking for Updates" and will not continue. I am using Windows 8.1 with McAffe and Iolo System Mechanic. I have run a virus scan and used the System Mechanic to clean up my computer. The main reason that I think that I have a problem is that my browser is slow or has problems connecting to pages or downloading. I am using Chrome but have the same problems if I use IE and Firefox. None of my other computers or phones are having any problem using the same Internet/WIFI connection so I know that my Internet connection is not the problem. Unfortunately it is my main laptop that is the affected one...... As per instructions in the post https://forums.malwa...iagnostic-logs/, I have attached the diagnostic logs. Thanks for your help.
