  1. Thank you. Attached two protection logs for reference. NTP Log 1.txt NTP Log 2.txt
  2. Thank you for the reply. I'm currently using Component package version (1.0.262). Should I update to the Beta?
  3. Hello, Received two pop-ups in a row at 3:55 PM ET, 1/7/18. 95.81.173.155 pool.ntp[.]org False positive? Thank you very much in advance.
  4. Hello, I used the Puran File Recovery utility and extracted found files into a temporary folder. Most of the file types were listed as .cdef, something I can't find any information on. Is this just "garbled" information not uncommon to file recovery programs I've read about? Thank you in advance.
  5. Thank you for this. It puts into perspective just how much goes on behind the scenes. The part about not enough information to draw conclusions rings especially true in this case. I should just count myself lucky it wasn't anything of note.
  6. Thank you for the reply. Sorry for the vague question. I was wondering about Chrome downloading 1KB files without prompts of any kind. It doesn't mean much, but I've never had that happen before. That might also be a question for the Google Products forum. Thank you very much though, whether the files were malicious was all I really wanted to know.
  7. Thank you for the reply. It's good to know this doesn't seem like a cause for concern. Does something like this just happen randomly every now and then? I'm not very knowledgeable with technical matters, and the closest articles I could find online had to do with Chrome and f.txt. Thank you very much again.
  8. I thought I should post the summaries from VirusTotal: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/fd0c5901dbbc52abdfd51ecd600f189e9588d5fbe6c5e0d40ee7ea3296d52373/analysis/1492037740/ https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/18648674a37f031a802841264b0b48b145575107d41a5ecbfaa3dd052c070457/analysis/1492037804/
  9. Hello, Recently went to a website (TomsHardware) via Chrome 57.0.2987.133, and two random files (FILE) automatically downloaded to my Downloads folder, both labeled USNC, both less than 1KB in size - One was 200 bytes in size, the other 800 bytes in size. I uploaded both to VirusTotal, no prior uploads mentioned, with information showing they were likely plain text files. Scanning the files with MBAM didn't come up with anything. The site they were downloaded from showed up as Clean Sites on VirusTotal: http://cs.ffbtas.com/usnc?i=1&ec=c1x&ei=AE73CC4D624A4BF2B6BB7AE
  10. Hello, I had the same issue, which was promptly addressed: And another thread with the same issue concerning sv[.]symcd[.]com: Apparently sv[.]symcd[.]com is not a false positive? Sorry, I am just trying to get clarification since I use Origin as well.
  11. Hello, Received outbound website pop-up from MB after updating Electronic Arts Origin client a few minutes ago on December 2, 2016. Program version: 2.2.1.1043 Database version: 2016.12.2.10 Possibly related to the recent thread under this one for "s2.symcb"? Host for 23.61.187.27 is Akamai Technologies as well.
  12. Thank you very much for the response. I have the fully qualified URL, I'll try submitting it. Thank you again.
  13. Hello, I recently had a pop-up appear while browsing that requested my login credentials to my browser (192.168.xxx). The curious thing is that the pop-up was a carbon copy of my router's administrator login page, right down to the make and model number and color scheme. Everything was the same, except for the site address, which belonged to "pix1.payswithservers", and was attached with "Main_Login.asp" at the end (I use an Asus router). Googling this did not yield many results. I ran multiple AVs including Malwarebytes, all of which came back negative. My router firmware has
