  1. Thank you for the reply. Just to clarify, I do not own and am not associated with the site; I'm unable to check the safety of the site in any way. Thank you again.
  2. Hello, Unsure if false positive or not; website for SEGA related gaming news that appears clean on Virustotal. Warnings from Malwarebytes Android on Samsung Browser (mobile) and Malwarebytes Premium on Chrome / Edge (PC). segabits[.]com Have attached logs from Malwarebytes. Thank you. 3. Hello, My Android device is a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Snapdragon. I have Malwarebytes Premium for Android installed. I was playing a game (Deemo II) and decided to use headphones via USB-C. I re-inserted the dongle a few times with the game still open, tested the volume keys, and all of a sudden I received a pop-up (shown in attached file). It was more like an overlay on top of the game while it was running. The picture attached is one I took in landscape mode - When in portrait mode there were no apps listed at the bottom, and the only way I could close the overlay was by tapping "CLOSE". This is alarming as this is the first time I have experienced this, and no alerts are shown in the Malwarebytes app. As this might be a one-off occurrence, I am asking if the overlay in the picture is something that Malwarebytes does, if this is some kind of error, and / or if I had hit a button combination with the volume keys to trigger it? Thank you very much in advance!
  4. Hello, AT&T. Samsung Galaxy S21 U Android 11. Phone not rooted. No other security software. Under Scanner history for Malwarebytes (Android), I'm seeing multiple entries of "App installation: Samsung Internet", sometimes several a day within 30 minutes of each other. I do use Samsung Internet as my main browser. Other than the multiple entries, I don't notice anything else out of the ordinary. Just wondering if this is any cause for alarm. Thank you in advance. Edit - I realize this is probably due to new instances of Samsung Internet being opened up after the phone has woken up from sleep from Samsung Galaxy killing apps, but I just wanted to double check.
  5. Hello, SteelSeriesProgress.exe flagged, not sure if False Positive or warranted - I've had both SteelSeries and Malwarebytes for several years now, first detected May 9th, 2021. 8. Hello, Received two pop-ups in a row at 3:55 PM ET, 1/7/18. 95.81.173.155 pool.ntp[.]org False positive? Thank you very much in advance.
  9. Hello, I used the Puran File Recovery utility and extracted found files into a temporary folder. Most of the file types were listed as .cdef, something I can't find any information on. Is this just "garbled" information not uncommon to file recovery programs I've read about? Thank you in advance.
  10. Thank you for this. It puts into perspective just how much goes on behind the scenes. The part about not enough information to draw conclusions rings especially true in this case. I should just count myself lucky it wasn't anything of note.
  11. Thank you for the reply. Sorry for the vague question. I was wondering about Chrome downloading 1KB files without prompts of any kind. It doesn't mean much, but I've never had that happen before. That might also be a question for the Google Products forum. Thank you very much though, whether the files were malicious was all I really wanted to know.
  12. Thank you for the reply. It's good to know this doesn't seem like a cause for concern. Does something like this just happen randomly every now and then? I'm not very knowledgeable with technical matters, and the closest articles I could find online had to do with Chrome and f.txt. Thank you very much again.
  13. I thought I should post the summaries from VirusTotal: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/fd0c5901dbbc52abdfd51ecd600f189e9588d5fbe6c5e0d40ee7ea3296d52373/analysis/1492037740/ https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/18648674a37f031a802841264b0b48b145575107d41a5ecbfaa3dd052c070457/analysis/1492037804/
