  1. Dear forum users, I am mostly looking for some clarification I cannot find on the web. Background info: at home, I have a desktop and an Android tablet. I think I picked up a virus on the desktop three weeks ago, and havent connected it to the web since. However, I did use the tablet. My connection seems to have been blocked by my provider, I unblocked it by filling out some form and now it works again. I am concerned though that a trojan could be using my connection for ddos attacks. I dont do any privacy sensitive stuff with these two devices at home. Just for random internetting. That is one problem. I have a small laptop I use for studying and writing elsewhere than home. I normally never connect it to my network at home. However, today I was so stupid to open my laptop at home, and my router was on. The wifi router was (fortunately?) not connected to the internet (connected the wrong cable into the wall). However, both the tablet and laptop recognized the router at the same time. Turns out the laptop still remembered the router from quite some time ago. I am completely freaked out, because I fear the router may have infected my work laptop too. I cannot risk spreading whatever malware I have to other homes and other routers. I am very depressed atm and unsure what to do. Can someone please advice me if my fears are justified? The internet is not very clear. Greetings
