  1. Hi thanks for the reply. Yes, that is what I am trying to avoid. I am hoping Malwarebytes staff and identify them for me.
  2. Hi, I bought two versions of Malwarebytes software about two months ago. Being hasty, and worried about clutter I threw the boxes away. One had coverage for 5 devices. The other only 3. I planned to use them on different accounts. I now want to use the five license key because my subscription needs to be renewed. I do not want to start the one year period on the wrong key. How can I tell the coverage on these keys and not start the time ticking on the wrong key? The key-card shows no indication of what the coverage is. Thanks
  3. I wanted to know if I add programs to my system after the restore (Windows only with drivers) should I wait until they are installed or should I install Malwarebytes right away. I am also restoring my system to organize my stuff better (my own reasons). Thanks
  4. I have bought Malwarebytes a week ago. I want to receive support but I don't want to install it. The reason I don't want to install is that the computer is badly infected with things, I want to first do a restore of my default system image that I got with my PC. Then I will install it to protect the system. How can I register Malwarebytes before this time? Thanks
  5. Hi, I have ran into a situation where every time Firefox is used to connect to Hotmail a pop-up opens a tab I don’t want to go to. This is just the start, it then starts doing a lot more to send me to sites I don't want to go to. I tried to fix this problem by restoring my PC to the factory settings but it still comes back. I have noticed that when I go to the address bar on the restored PC that it still has a history of where I have been recently. How is this possible? After the first reset, before I connected to the internet (plugged cable) I installed Malwarebytes. It ran a scan and found threats. I than deleted them, and restored PC to factory again. Now Malwarebytes does not find any threats. How could the computer still be infected if I reset the computer? Could this be because of my IP address? Could malware be waiting for you via your IP address, and then quickly keep installing itself? Could this be a rootkit that needs a scan outside of Windows? Thanks
