  1. Reporting back to my posts above. Stage 1// Turning off AVG allowed MWB3 to work properly Stage 2// Adding files to "AVG exclusion" or should that be ALLOW, I'll check that too & report back on both but wont now be until tomorrow UK time. Best
  2. Cheers Firefox. no I've not done anything like that at all so I'll set it up but first I'll switch off/on AVG several times to try and prove it is the cause. Going forward will adding those files in the AV exclusion list be a one off time or will they need constantly updating? Cheers -- I'll report the results back here later.
  3. Getting exactly the same issues here. it seems some what random in that I suddenly got the AWSOME message and everything GREEN, However I noticed my AVG flaging a warning that part of it was off so I switched it back on and guess what MWB3 gave out error message of web not protected. I thought all other protection software was compatible or so the advertising blurb says. Probably going to revert to Vers. 2, if I can? Don't see any point in listing PC spec as the fault is as described by several others above. Regards
  4. I have the latest patch 3.05.1299 but still get constant "web protection off" & RTP layers turned off messages. Very disappointed with this release as many of the errors appear to be just not having a wide enough soak test done. I can alter the update check period but it immediately reverts to 14 days or 1 hour on me going out and back in to the prog, most odd. Alas still waiting for a fix I fear. Best
  5. Thanks Gents. Yes pondus that is what I was doing but I found something got removed I needed but yes I was able to get set up again. David I'll do as you say to give me a base line from which I can work. Many thanks both.
  6. Yes thanks David but that is my difficulty. When faced with 79 PUP's I'm not certain which ones are true and which are not, I was rather hoping if MWB's pointed at it then I could believe it. Looking at your 2 comments the 1st one is a -- no I haven't installed something so that should mean everything else can be quarantined if I understand you correctly. Is there anyway to get a more understandable explanation of what each PUP is to help with me identifying bad ones. Thanks again David.
  7. Thanks Pondus, this is my first post on here so I'm still finding my way around and this may be in the wrong section. I'd found your first link but that isn't answering my question. Since the new upgrade a little while ago I seem to collect more PUP's what I'm not sure of is how to determine if they are true and should be quarantined or if they are intened to be there? Can I safely assume that all PUP's are bad and must be got rid of? Thanks
  8. Cheers for the help David.
  9. Hello. Just a general question regarding PUP's. Of late MWB is discovering more PUP's than it did previously, but are they all bad. Do I just tick all boxes because MWB found them so they must be bad or is there some other check I need to do to verify them. If so how do I know which are the good PUPs and which are the BAD PUPs. I run AVG Internet Security as well and don't want to upset that. Thanks
