AdvancedSetup is the disk just in File Explore not recognized, or in Disk Management too? How about in UEFI/BIOS, is it seen there? -
Use caution when updating to Windows 10 Anniversary Update

I know my way very well around Windows(all the tricks) but I am also a believer, one should use, and update a software, the way the developer planned it, for safer computing, and Microsoft planned that Windows Update should do it. Some PCs get the update much later, because, there could be some kind of issue(updating the device pool), like unsigned or not properly signed drivers, which is good. How often have people gotten their driver or even modded BIOS from questionable sites and installed them along with malware. The manufactures need to get off their digital buns and get WHQL qualified, so people can update/upgrade their PC's the way Microsoft planned. -

Did you clean install or upgrade? I ask because, over at Ten Forums, it has been the members that got the .iso(either through MCT, or downloaded it directly from Microsoft, or nabbed the ESD just before install and created their own .iso) and clean installed the AU, had the problem with disappearing drives, or ones marked by Windows as RAW. Till now, no one(that I know of) that upgraded through Windows Update or by mounting the .iso in File Explorer(like me on 2 physical and 1 Hyper-V VM) and upgraded, had these or other serious problems. -
Thanks pbust On my desktop and my laptop, MBAE was running great after the AU, but today on my Hyper-V Insider VM I was getting the pop-up the service wasn't starting, and after going to services and manually starting it would just shut down again, and of course clicking the shortcut in start menu didn't do anything. I found this thread and your post and downloaded the re-issue and installed it, now it's running in my VM as well. I posted a link to your post, in Ten Forums for other users having the problem, if that's OK, as I have a thread there on MBAE new version-updates: http://www.tenforums.com/antivirus-firewalls-system-security/8342-latest-version-malwarebytes-anti-exploit.html even though it updates with no user intervention, some go there for more info on the changelog.

t Ok thanks anyhow dd1 Grinler at Bleeping posted the LGPE settings and some registry hacks for non Win Pro OS's involving Network security: Restrict NTLM: Outgoing NTLM traffic to remote servers to mediate the problem, but it involves changing how Windows communicates with servers and then white listing the ones you want. A real PITA and not everyone's cup of tea.

Yup! It seems to be dug up again. Does MBAE cover it? Do you have a link for me in the forums or the main site?

I was just curios if MBAE protects browsers and against sites set up to exploit the Windows Credential Leak Flaw in Edge, IE, and Cortana/Windows Search? I tried Malwarebytes search here in the forums, and the main sit, but I guess I either don't use the correct terms, or nothing has been written or asked already

I like the new logo too! It kind of looks like two Packmen lying on their backs

I like to check it out once a week, usually during my Saturday morning pot of coffee. My favorites are: "The Defrag Show" and "Defrag Tools":

Yup, I'm running Defender in the VM. Oh I'll edit the post and add the scan logs So here I can just upload the text files without zipping? OK, I zipped it all because, it was like in the initial post, a bunch of files, sorted in 3 folders. About moving I can understand that. I just wasn't sure where post because it is both "beta2 builds that I had used. I just booted up the VM and got all MBAM's logs and added them to the unzipped folder and switched out the zipped for the unzipped, here they are with the others again(unzipped): CheckResults.txt Daily protection 1.txt Daily protection 2.txt scan 1.txt scan 2.txt scan 3.txt scan 4.txt

I have installed Windows 10 insider leaked build 10558 in a VMware virtual machine(to test theme patching software later without nuking my system). Then I suddenly thought of a How to Geek article: Here’s What Happens When You Install the Top 10 Download.com Apps and knew what I wanted to try I prepared my VM(an unactivated clean install) by cleaning up the OS install leftovers using disk cleanup and Ccleaner(the ONLY 3rd party software before test), I let Windows sync with my account, made sure what can work on an inactivated build worked, then I installed both test Beta's from MBAM & MBAE, turned on the free trials, left them to defaults except MBAM, which I turned on rootkit scanning, and went to CNET downloading. Windows only blocked one download, but Malwarebytes refused to let some crap on my system a few times, note: I tried to make sure I used the wrapper downloaders and not direct(I wanted to have fun right?), I also tried a couple at Softpedia. Included in the attachment is a folder containing 3 folders and 1 file. Each folder has FRST - Addition - mbae-default. 1. Before test 2. After CNET Visit 3. After I ran scans with MBAM(and deleted the quarantined items 4.The file is mbam CheckResults log Malwarebytes vs CNET.zip So if anyone is interested in realworld results of both Malwarebytes test builds on Windows 10 Build 10558 using default settings, here they are. By the way, it was fun to be able to just, once, click through the installers, without paying any special attention

Ok. It isn't blocking the properties popup it just "toast's" to inform, which isn't so bad. If ya'll need any more info, or if you want me to post any more results from the two programs, just let me know.
