I currently have Spybot Search & Destroy and SlimCleaner both running on my computer in addition to Kaspersky Pure and Malwarebytes Premium. Do I need the first two?

Thanks for reassuring me about the logs. And I'm very happy to hear that you have disinfected my poor computer. My final question is: How in the world do I stop all those PUPs from getting on my computer in the first place? I assumed my anti-virus program would be enough to stop things like that but I obviously was wrong.

I kept losing my internet connection earlier. But I rebooted my router and that seems to have solved the problem. Also earlier, everything I did, whether it was based on the web or on my computer, was incredibly slow. But that, too, seems to be okay now. So, perhaps I can relax. I did notice something yesterday that concerned me a little. The Malwarebytes log that I posted in my first comment has been downloaded 8 times and almost all of the logs show multiple downloads. Would all of those have been done by you? Or can anyone reading this thread download my computer information?

Before I do anything else, I have a question. I had multiple pop-up windows on my screen which I just closed. The last one there was, I think, the Malwarebytes notice saying things had been removed AND the computer needs to be restarted in order to complete the process. If I reboot, won't I lose contact with you?

I finished the Malwarebytes run and got the message "0 threats removed" which makes me wonder if it worked correctly. I went ahead and re-ran Farbar and the logs are attached. FRST.txt Addition.txt

I've recently noticed that my computer has started running in high gear all by itself and Task Manager doesn't show any additional programs that would explain why. I've looked at the list of processes and found information indicating that part of the problem could be gwxconfigmanager.exe but I was blocked from following the steps to remove it and (again) didn't know enough to be able to figure out a way around the block. So ... I ran Malwarebytes hoping that it would provide a solution, and was rewarded with a list of 2,603 PUPs! Whether these are two separate problems or all part of the same issue, I know I need help!
