Did in chrome and firefox. Thanx, again!

Well, Porthos you may be a hero, today. They stopped. Only been 5 minutes but my guess is that cured it. Thanx. I'll report back if they return. I stopped them in Windows, not from firefox and chrome.

It may be push notifications but I didnt touch that - ever. I'll try turning them off. I don't know why they are all virus warnings, anyway.

Various black panels seen... 3"x2" each with messages like SYSTEM DAMAGED MOZILLA, THE VIRUS CAN BE DAMAGE MOZILLA, CRITICAL VIRUS ALERT MCAFEE X'ing out the panels does nothing... they keep coming back.

Installed Xmarks. But uninstalled, and the associated files do not show in my Firefox bookmarks add-ons. Nor is anthing shown in add / remove. But 2 vigilant popups do continue and could not be removed using malwarebytes, pc cleaner and iobit. Also uninstalling then re-installing Firefox did not help. I use IE Explore and Chrome also but they are not infected. These popups appear like hit and miss, but when present they sometimes lock up Firefox and I must stop Firefox in task manager.
